So far my son surprised my wife and I this morning with a small gift (some candy in a cute little bag and a card) which was a fun little touch for the morning to kick things off, and a really cool surprise.

Yes sir! We don’t do presents other than some gift cards or money usually, so the tiny village has appeared under the tree the past few years to fill the void of boxed gifts.

Haha, that’s kind of you to say. It’s a not very good picture of a somewhat awkward tree, but the decoration is mostly homemade, and the evening prerttibg up as a family is great, so it’s all good. Do you guys put presents under the tree as well? Here is a picire where you can see how we do it -
