Microsoft's 1st party game prices rising to $70

Beginning in 2023, games built for Xbox Series X|S including Forza Motorsport, Redfall, and Starfield will cost $69.99 USD at launch. While Xbox has noted that regional pricing may differ, it has not yet given specifics for other countries.

“This price reflects the content, scale, and technical complexity of these titles,” a Microsoft spokesperson told IGN. "As with all games developed by our teams at Xbox, they will also be available with Game Pass the same day they launch.”

Phil Spencer hinted at this in October.

Oh yeah, MS sells first party games too.

What is a party game?

Alternate headline: Microsoft making Game Pass an even better deal

Sneaky, Microsoft. Sneaky.

Haha, that was my thought too!

Well, I end up buying most of their first party titles eventually. But just like with Sony, they’re usually pretty heavily discounted by that time. So I don’t mind. Especially since I can play them day one on Game Pass, of course.

I just realized, all 3 console makers’ first party titles have been really knocking it out of the park the last few years, haven’t they? Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo have been providing really great first party games.

No, they are 15$ a month.
