Am I the only one that finds that the A.I. moves so quickly it’s almost impossible to follow what is happening? Yes,I know there’s a log in the lower rt. hand corner, but the color of the font makes it almost impossible to read.
I don’t see a place to redeem codes anywhere. Did they remove it?
Huh, maybe they did. I don’t see it any more either.
I hope I missed an option somewhere. Do we really need extras of every card we’d want to use in multiple decks?
Temporarily.
Crappy, isn’t it? Yeah, cards can only be in one deck at a time.
Yikes, yes. It gets suddenly really tough. I’ve gotten spanked three times by that dude with the default Haven deck. He’s got a ton of weenie minions in his deck that just overwhelm you. I guess it’s a good way teach new players how to modify decks, though maybe a slightly gentler shove into the deep end is called for.

Totally agreed. It’s definitely too fast.
I got my code but I can’t find where to redeem it. The instructions on the Alienware site say to go to the in-game shop and enter your code, but I can’t find anywhere in the in-game shop to enter a code?!
They’ve disabled it temporarily…rumor says there was some sort of exploit.
They do say on their forums though that they will honor any of the Alienware codes if you submit a ticket to support.
Yuck. :( I think I’ll wait for a Steam sale on the DLC packages before spending money. Fun game though!
edit: It’s not quite as bad as it might sound to other people who haven’t played. You can’t use any cards in any decks, each have their own faction & magic element restrictions.
So, I created a support ticket regarding the Alienware Code, and was greeted with a very kind reply. They patched me the ‘box’ that the code was supposed to grant. I logged into the client, and found 10 unopened packs waiting for me.
Thank you, Crimsonshade24 of Duel of Champions Customer Support!
That’s being changed in a few days. :)
New expansion out on the 5th. Their ingame sale is currently 2 boxes of the Forgotten Wars (last expansion) for a little under 2000 seals, which also includes around 70 wildcards. Pretty good deal for anyone with a bunch of them who isn’t only interested in the new set.
That’s great news all around. The inability to re-use cards across decks was one of its biggest strikes in my book, because otherwise it’s a very solid game. I may very well monetize again for that sale, I’ll have to check that out.
New expansion announced for next month, along with a bigger solo campaign & puzzles. Base Set 2 (a collection of cards from previous expansions mixed together) will replace the Reinforcement packs and a new optional gamemode will only allow you to play cards from it.

“New rankings and matchmaking system” is part of the announcement as well. I hope it’ll be a lot better than what they current use.
Maybe I’ll reinstall this once they get that new stuff out. A bigger solo campaign sounds interesting.
Have a code from the Pax East swag bag for this if interested. Just PM me, first claim gets it.
–CLAIMED
Oh, forgot about my wife’s swag bag, so that means I have another code still available. Again, first PM gets it!
–And now this one is claimed as well!
Downloaded the ios version and played through the tutorial. Seems like a neat game so far, for the starter deck is there a clearly a best/worst choice out of them?
I’ve heard people griping about the Haven deck being underpowered. I started with Inferno and did fine playing for free (65-32 record). They’ve updated the starters with BS2 so it’s not directly comparable, but I glanced through the lists and all the other factions look pretty reasonable to me at first glance.
I guess I have enough gold to buy a new starter deck, but do those cards then become part of your collection or do you only get to play with them as a deck?
You get all the individual cards to do with as you see fit.
