Oh yeah that’s the first thing the game needs. More gameplay “features” that make good YouTube videos for marketing purposes!

Anyone else hear Willy Wonka’s everlasting gobstopper machine in their head when they looked at that sketch?
Actually, I was hoping for something like a bell or gong that could work with redstone circuits so that’s kinda cool. Circuits need more interactions in general.

Circuits are just too big and messy for me to get into. If I could open an interface and setup some sort of chip with inputs and outputs, and then keep everything nice and simple looking, I’d be more into it. Really, I’d rather have more kinds of decorative and monster defense blocks. Oh well, it’s not like I’m required to make a music box to play the game.

It’s silly. Unless it’s some sort of introduction to magic systems or something. And the circuits should also be done away with or sidetracked, and a magic trigger system would work better.
After dissuading my nephew from trying to join the multiplayer server (thank me later) we hooked him up with the free Classic version on the website. It’s amazing to see how far the world generation alone has come since those early days.

I’m only somewhat fond of biomes right now. I kinda miss having snow worlds, and the gradient of grass changing colors is just jarring for a game about blocks.
Biomes need to be much larger – with the added caveat that the first chunk should not be a desert biome (so there will be trees somewhere). My current world has a bunch of deserts that are strangely tiny, wedged in between a bunch of forests.

I want steam-powered autoturrets.
Also trampolines.

This. I’m having a really hard time convincing myself to play since I’m unable to get a uniform world to build in. Larger, more consistent biomes would be the best change that could be made to the game at present.

I just don’t find it very fun to be in anything other than a forest biome. It looks great and is challenging to path through. The landscape just loses so much character when there are no trees around.
The world I’m using for my Let’s Play kind of annoyed me at first – I was on a small island and there were mountains anywhere nearby that I could see. I’ve since decided it’s not so bad since I can turn the island into a sweet fortress in the middle of the water, but it is a little disappointing the nearest mountains are a good day or two’s journey away. My first world had some awesome mountains I could use for building awesome castles on/in/around, but to do that now makes dying…awkward.
Of course, now that I’ve moved the world to a small multiplayer server, I can use warps and /sethome to alleviate some of that, but my main fort is still really far away from the cool land masses. :/ And there’s still a lot of deserts thrown in haphazardly, which don’t serve much purpose. If they were really big, it would be kind of an awesome obstacle – right now, they are just an annoyance, because I am going to have to dig it out and replace it as I grow my small town so that to look remains consistent.
My current world is a tiny icy island with no trees. I made a mission of building a portal through the Nether, picked a random direction to place the second portal and ended up with the exit in the middle of a jungle.

I’d say screw all that manual labor and just use MCEdit to cut out your castle and put it somewhere else.
That, sir, would be cheating. :)

Faced with a huge forest in front of me, I did the only sensible thing that came to my mind:

You really need to work on your rage issues.
