I lolled.
Unrelatedly, could people fill their creeper-craters, particularly when they’re in developed areas? Or breach peoples’ homes?

I understand leaving holes in wilderness places. But when something blows up the beach right next to the town square… yeah, please fill it.
If you’re talking about the giant hole right next to the spawning area, we can’t. Or at least I can’t. If I try placing sand there it just disappears. I’m assuming whoever the creeper blew up on couldn’t either.

Ahhh my mistake, I forgot about the spawn protection.

Demo of the upcoming redstone repeater block, and yay, it also acts as a diode, which might help sort out some of the current flow quirks.

Heh, TeamMojang is using BetterLight!
I don’t particularly give a shit about improving the redstone aspects of the game, unless improving means getting rid of it entirely and just letting us assign switches to objects.
The creeper hole sold it.
Music videos are old hat but http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuWW9bEfzvs is a fellow DJing, both some of the more effective music to date and visually impressive.
Just stumbled on that one and loved it.
Also, here is how a Bioware dev used Minecraft: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-MfrT0wvMg
Cute.

I have a idea for a block:
A block that spawns a guard (archer or blade) that protect the area nearby the block.
All these castles people make are asking for a siege, Mount & Combat style, and you can’t have sieges without guards on the wall.
I suppose is 8 orders of magnitude easier to implement that this “Miners” mod, or that “Charlotte” mod. It don’t even have to follow the player, learn to navigate the map, or anything fancy. Probably is even possible to take the source code of “Miners” and hack it to spawn 1 soldier, change the recipe to be easy and cheap ( like workbench + 1 blade = guardian spawner ).
Hope modders decide to do something like that. It would be cool to fill your buildings with NPC’s. More fun than putting torchs everywhere :D

Do your phones have 500mb-1000mb of RAM?

I don’t care if it is only on the foggiest option, if I can log into the MP server on my phone I would probably cry tears of joy.

In addition to its forthcoming expansion to iOS, Minecraft will also make its way onto the Android platform. Mojang, the developer behind Minecraft, brought in an outside source to focus on the mobile iterations of the game.

Minecraft is unoptimized, and runs using algorithms that are both pesimist and naive.
I predict something that looks almost like minecraft can be programmed even on a Commodore 64.
You guys have no place to hide.
(just kidding)
I never imagined those adjectives being used to describe code. You win the internet sir.

At the risk of defending Teiman’s moonbat vocabulary, it’s actually quite common to describe code as pessimistic and naive.
