FFFFFuuu. I am not good at these types of games where you can’t save. I just lost my two diamond tools, my maps, my armor and lots of other stuff (trying to cross a lava lake in the Nether). Well, the other stuff I can get it again in 15 minutes in a mine, but my maps and my diamond tools are not that easy to get.

WTF… who is this “TurinTur” person?
Also, not a fan of most of the new sound effects. The new explosion sound is fantastic, but the rest are tolerable-to-terrible.
There’s no reason to bring diamond tools into the Nether. Nothing there requires significant effort to break – just bring stone tools. It’s way too dangerous to bring a bunch of diamond junk there, at least until you’re well-established. And once you’ve made a safe area (an outpost made of stone brick or something), keep anything nonessential in a chest there.

TurinTur
It can be naeblis that has bought in eBay one of these “Change your username in QT3 forum” license for 34€.
TurinTur sounds to me like “Alan Turing with Tourette Syndrome”, or something like that.

Turin Turambar, Tolkien character. Also, Naeblis.
Well, there’s some kind of nerd war in the making going on between Yogscast and Notch
From Notch’s Twitter:
Wow. Hate, insults and threats are flooding in from Yogscast fans. I’ll stop biting my tongue now.
Yogscast repeatedly insulted people, talked behind their backs, refused to cooperate, and acted like total spoiled divas nonstop.
He apparently took offense to them swearing a bit on their panel. I suppose it’s very different doing that in front of an audience where children and their parents might be involved, as opposed to your own blog and twitter (where Notch does it often himself).

From the Twits, there’s actually a good deal more than that - or at least from his perspective.
Yeah, the SA Minecraft thread basically exploded with all this drama. People take the going-ons of their Twitter heroes VERY SERIOUSLY.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s all rather overblown, mainly a misunderstanding, Notch not quite ‘getting’ the Yogs guys’ humour, the Yogs guys not being familiar with that kind of environment, etc.

Yogscast… that’s the embarrassingly twee OMGSHRILLSPEAKING Youtubers who review mods and stuff?
even though i don’t care much for yogscast’s style, their youtube vids were probably one of minecraft’s biggest marketing venues.

I hadn’t heard of them till long after Minecraft’s popularity exploded, but that doesn’t mean I’m right I guess.

Fun bug in the current version-- If you build a bed in a space just large enough to use it, there’s a better-than-average chance that when you wake up the game will place you inside a solid block above the bed, suffocating you to death unless you can quickly remove the block.
Hrm, that sounds familiar – I swear that’s an old bug from 1.5/1.6.
And with regard to the Yogscast, if they did what Notch claims they did, that’s pretty lousy of them. I enjoy their Let’s Play (since it appears to be one of the few with a narrative, as bizarre as it is), but that sounds pretty douchetastic if they did tell some kid to go fuck himself.
I didn’t think Yogscast swore in their videos. It would be pretty out of character to start doing it in real life.
Yeah, that’s sort of what surprised me – though they were a bit salty during the presentation they made at MineCon. Honestly, I really hope this is just a giant misunderstanding, but I haven’t seen any sort of source for this other than what Notch has said on Twitter.

yeah that is kind of excessive for a public venue, not even making an effort at restraint. lol.
The Yogscast response. Plus a short video, though it doesn’t really add anything.
