There are soo much minecraft clones now that people has stoped naming then, and just put a number.

3079 is another minecraft clone, only not, because was made using the Crazy Hat, so is terrible and awesome at the same time. Being demoed by the yogcast dude only maximize these virtues.

I’ve been working on restocking the newbie supply chest since it took a big hit the past 2 days. I’ll start working on a solution for the village now though, don’t be afraid to post up stuff to do. It’s far more fun when there’s actually community goals to work on when I get bored from building my underwater mansion :)

Rubber tree farm expansion would be amazing.

Especially considering I blew most of it up earlier. Maybe set-up a gated section specfically for the farm?

Servers down right now anyway unfortunately. I was booted while I was bust taking my revenge on that abandoned Mineshaft.

I mentioned this online today, but thought I’d repeat it here:

There are 4 or 5 ravines mushed together near my hole in the swamp. Tons of resources up for grabs there, if anyone wants to explore. I’ll be grabbing stuff from there too, but as far as I’m concerned it’s a huge communal cave. I’d just ask that you of course leave my chests alone. :)

To get there: Go West from the first village (near spawn), between the two volcanoes. You’ll see a large section of the swamp lit up with torches. In the middle of that is a hole with a cobblestone drop chute on one side (X -480, Z 674, according to the web map). Drop down the chute and you’ll be in my little cave. I’ve put signs all over the place to help you find the ravine system from there.

Oh also there’s a bed if you want to set your spawn down there, it’s between my chests and furnaces.

The swamps are awesome. There’s that giant post with a flat top a bit west of the Rift. The staircase leads down into a massive cave system, including an underground rift that extends dozens if not hundreds of blocks high. That’s full of tons of stuff as well that people should feel free to grab.

The swamp rift has been eclipsed!

I was attempting to use a fully charged jet pack to get from my place back to spawn. I figured that could potentially work for rapid transport until rails get laid down. I aimed a bit north without realizing it and ended up northeast of spawn at some small mountains. It was almost nightfall, so I holed up in a cavern in the mountain. I decided to explore a bit until the sun rose and I could walk back unmolested. I found a neat little warren of cave tunnels.

And then I stumbled upon it: a rift so big I couldn’t see the roof from the bottom of it! HB (aka Fugitive), chequers, and I spent some quality time down there. Tons of resources available if you can make it down there. It should be the only torchlit area north and a little east of spawn.

Try to use torches visible from the air (or a sign) so that it’s easy to find on the map viewer. I’ll go have a look for it now though.

-edit- Added some defence to the spawn instead because I only had a little while this morning.

So apparently if you use too high of a voltage output with the wrong wires, you explode your machines and burn all the wires away.

Fun!

Now I need to go read how to run EUs without blowing things up.

We have achieved the worlds first teleportation of solid matter. Nate’s coastal labs have been connected to McK & Chequers Industries.

Some caveats for those wondering in how they can view this marvel. Only carry a hot-bar full of items, no inventory. As of now we only have power for one teleportation each way, so you can’t bring a friend.

We are in the process of adding a new wing to our complex, when the Hydro power is online teleportation should be more easily facilitated.

Interesting formations in this neck of the woods.

I haven’t seen an oubliette quite like this before…MASSIVE spherical chamber at the bottom of a mountain.

Side tunnel leads to another rift! All kinds of resources down here, people. Come and get it!

Frack it I’m going to have to jump on your server, can you whitelist Morberis?

Added!

Also, a couple things worth noting:

  • There’s now a recycler in the spawn area, and it’s the preferred way to dispose of stuff. Each item you put in has a chance of creating ‘Scrap’, put 9 scrap in a crafting window and you create a scrap box, which has a chance of creating valuable prizes when you use it! Or a block of dirt.

  • Don’t use the treetap on rubber trees when they’re not mature (i.e., showing the orange dot). Doing so can get you a bit of resin, but destroys the sap node, and then the tree has to be replanted.

“Rifts” are the best. Lots of exposed rock, but danger from enemies falling from the darkness (unless you approach it from the top).

Especially when the rifts break through the surface. I do have to say, though, I’ve never found a diamond in a natural cave on this server. I found 20 or so from branch mining.

I have been using IC in single player for a long time. That is how I get resin, I tap the orange dot. The dots respawn once a day. So are you getting resin some other way? I have not tried using the tap on just normal rubber tree wood.

The orange dots respawn after a while in the same spot, but if you use a treetap on those spots before the dot has respawned, it will produce some resin but can destroy the respawning of the spot. That might lead someone to think hey, I’ll just run around and tap every side of the rubber trees, and they’d get some resin out of doing so, but they destroy the tree’s ability to respawn resin that way. If I’m not explaining it well, then see this page.

We have achieved Mass Fabrication. We can now craft a number of primary blocks from nothing but energy. Truely this is the Golden Age.

Due to the above breakthrough, all scrap will now be appropriated in order to cut the cost of Mass Creation. Our scientists have discovered that using a small amount of scrap can cut the cost of our matter fabrication by up to 83%.
