I should be on for a little bit tonight.
I think buildcraft permissions are honked. Setup a residence zone to the sky, added a filler inside, set it to do anything (clar, fill, etc) and nothing happens.
:(
Huh, that seems odd. Ill be back on in about an hour assuming windows decides it wants to work. (Had some issues after you left.) If you see anyone on, be sure to mention it. Particularly if you see Sid or Quikstrike or Ilnor.
You have to enable buildcraft permissions on your residence.
I was gonna try checking it out, but now you’re saying a bunch of nonsense about Buildcraft. Huh? I dunno how this works.
It’s a Tekkit server, so you need the Tekkit launcher to play. Click the download button here. Then it’s basically a better launcher for Minecraft. It has a bunch of modpacks to choose from, as well as vanilla. To play on the server I posted you need to select the “Tekkit” modpack from the drop down on the launcher.
After that it’s basically Minecraft but better. Residence is a pain though.
Feed the Beast appears to have been released. Checking it out now.
Released, and seems to work. Tekkit/Technic pack that works in 1.42 and multiplayer.
Woot.
Okay Feed the Beast is the new hotness.
Works out of the box in multi with 1 tweak (gregtech server cfgs have expensive recipes enabled). Dropped in EE3 pre1a and Logistic pipes on client and server and they worked like a champ.
It’s pretty bad ass. Looks stable too. Readded forestry, updated steves carts (which is nuts now), updated railcraft (which is very very nuts now), added in thermal expansion and a bunch of other things. RP2 hasn’t been ported to 1.4.2, and since it’s based on Forge, there’s some limits regarding server plugins.
Good pack though, and a big step up from Tekkit/Technic Pack, largely because it’s far more current.

The Bukkit legal saga continues…
Evilseph one of the original founders of Bukkit (the Minecraft mod api) decided to call it quits and hang up his hat.
http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/bukkit-its-time-to-say.305106/
Mojang responded saying that they own Bukkit and development will continue.
https://storify.com/lukegb/the-tale-of-bukkit-for-minecraft-1-8
Now Wesley Wolfe one of the original creators of CraftBukkit (the modified minecraft server that powers bukkit) filed a DMCA request and took down Craftbukkit.

Surely this can’t be good for Mojang?

From what I can gather, the sale of Bukkit to Mojang was unknown to Wesley Wolfe/Multiplay until Evil Seph posted his opus a month ago.
Pure conjecture, but I would suspect since that time Wolfe has been talking to Mojang about money owed due to this sale. This is more likely or not a bargaining chip/threat come to life.
Money will solve this.
Does seem a little underhanded that the Bukkit sale was under wraps violating the GPL. Wonder how/where the ball got dropped and by whom.

CraftBukkit isn’t exactly new or unknown. Why so long to finally go after them, if they really were in the wrong?
