No picnic for the Reds, either. ;)

ha! So many teams!
And I’ll be honest, for an AL guy like me, I look at the NL and see the Giants, and then Team in Red, Team in Red, and … Reds. They’re like three teams sharing the same uniform. :)
Lincecum was 3 up 3 down in his first full inning. 5-2 now. If the Giants manage to make a tie out of this series, I will pee myself.

Who’d have thought that Arias and Sanchez would be such big factors in this game?
Holy moly! Panda sinks one in the Ohio River. That was a blast.
I hope you’re sitting on something absorbent.
Wonder how many game 5s we’ll see? Got one for sure and every other series still has a chance.

Good job Giants forcing a game 5!
(carefully steps away from Charm)
Haha. I managed to hold it…just barely.
Really awesome game today. I thought they were gonna go out like chumps this year after that 9-0 travesty, but I think we might have a little momentum on our side going into game 5. They might lose tomorrow, of course, but at least they made a good show of it.
A Cardinals-Giants NLCS would be an unexpected result, to say the least. Dare to dream!
As a St. Louis fan I would like to say that I welcome this happening.
Honestly not too sure whether I would rather have them play the Reds without Cueto or the Giants, though. That’s a tough call.
Clearly today shows that the Cards broke out the hats for bats after the Game 2 win though. Keeps bats warm.
Am hoping for Nats-Reds myself.

Likewise - and ultimately a rematch of the '40 WS with the Tigers & Reds.
I hate the Yankees so much. Two freaking outs, that’s all they had left, and the Os couldn’t close the deal.

Ho-ly %^@#.
Bottom of the 9th, trailing 2-1, Girardi pulls A-Rod for a pinch hitter, Raul Ibanez. A move that will undoubtedly be second guessed and third guessed and analyzed into the ground.
And Ibanez jacks it out to tie the game. Wow.
To extra innings!
Bears repeating.
On the up side, the Tigers are leading.

I’m not really invested in any of these teams, but have to say I’m pretty much sick of the usual suspects. Which means the Yankees, and to a lesser extent the Cardinals. Although if the Cards end up in the WS again as a wildcard, that will at least bring into greater question the genius of LaRussa.
No it won’t, but keep floggin’ that chicken.

So you don’t think people would raise the question if the Cards won it all this year?
No. (At least not smart people, anyway.)

I’m baffled by that whole statement, really.
Tony LaRussa is 3rd on the list of all-time managerial wins. He would have cruised into second this year if he hadn’t retired. He’s been to six World Series and won three. I’m not sure there are 5 managers in the last 50 years who are in his league.
(edit: off the top of my head, in no order: Torre, Sparky, Whitey, Weaver, Cox, Leyland, Lasorda come to mind)
So when you say “that will at least bring into greater question the genius of LaRussa”, are you saying it was being questioned to begin with? By who? And that winning the World Series last year silenced those questions? And the Cards winning the Series this year would raise them again?
