I see you didn’t read the link. Everyone but Sluggo will probably like it.

Thank god MLB.TV lets you listen to the radio audio instead of the broadcast audio. Buck makes me wanna murder people.

There’s roughly zero chance I’m going to click a link about the Yankees from somewhere called “The Daily Beast”. :)
It’s pretty much more of the same crap you can read on any fan board, honestly. I’ve seen more pithy insight from Red Sox fan sites by guys who weren’t getting paid. The sentiment: “Jeter’s great, but hahaha, Yankees! Screw 'em” is about as original as vanilla ice cream.
In the meantime, you can hear the whirr of hard drives spinning to life across the country as hack writers on deadline from Stark to Heyman to Rosenthal to Miller prepare to tie in Scutaro’s single and the bases-clearing error by Matt Holliday into a tidy narrative with his late take-out slide in the second.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Holliday take a beanball to the dome in the near future.

You having a bad day trig? Because you’re sort of being a dick. I like your posts most of the time, but today, not so much.
More like right in the middle of the “7” on his back, thanks…but seriously, why would you want to do anything but throw him pitches over the plate and watch him flail away if you’re the Giants?
In any event, Vogelsong has had a monster game. Just one weak ground ball out after another–unless it’s been a weak pop fly.
Sign that the Cardinals have white-flagged this game: Fernando Salas is pitching.
See you in St. Louis!
No, I’m having a fucking great day watching my baseball team piss down their collective legs. This is a goddamned blast. No idea why I’m not in a better mood.

It started with this, way before the baseball game that is apparently on television somewhere that some of you are watching. Just seemed out of character for you. Carry on.
That’s just seeing about 10 skadillion mentions of Derek Jeter on ESPN and related media outlets over the last 48 hours.
With Salas pitching and Adron Chambers pinch-hitting, I feel like I’m watching a basketball game where one team is down 25 with 2 minutes to play and starts putting in the walk-ons at the end of the bench.
On the plus side: Shelby Miller sighting!
Since the 2nd inning, the Cardinals have hit 3 balls to the outfield. 2 were Beltran doubles.

VOGELTRON!
Didn’t expect such a great outing for Vogelsong, that’s for sure.
Does the home team supply the circus music, or do the Cardinals have to bring their own?
Really? He was excellent in the NLDS, and he had like 17-something quality starts in a row in the regular season. True, he had some bad innings around the end of the year, but the guy is as close to a guaranteed good start as we have right now.

Yeah, I was just feeling nervous about it. Nice to see him get the double as well.
I like this game.
Me too! As Blur is saying right now at AT&T: WOO HOO
Wish that worked in the USA. (Yeah, there’s VPN workarounds, but it makes the video all choppy for me.) I tried lining up the TV broadcast and the over-the-web radio, but the video is about 3 seconds behind the audio, and there’s no way that I can find to cause the audio to delay so it syncs up. So, I’m stuck with Buck and McCarver.
Despite that, I enjoyed last night’s game, especially seeing both pitchers get well-hit doubles. Another argument for killing the DH - what’s more fun than seeing the guy who isn’t supposed to be able to hit line a rope to the wall? All the discussion of the take-out slide is certainly annoying, but hopefully the Giants get their revenge by simply sending St Louis home with three more wins.
