His home/road splits last year weren’t too different. Much higher BAbip on the road so maybe some luck played into those close splits though.

Someone put a microphone and camera in front of Joey Votto.

Ghost-Runners, arise from the dead!

He had shoulder surgery in 2020, so maybe he was still affected?

Pete Alonso got into a really bad car accident yesterday. Someone ran a red light plowed into his pickup flipping it 3 times. He says he’s perfectly fine. I wonder if Mr. Glass was driving the car. ;)

The more I think about it the more I love the trade Dipoto and the M’s made yesterday and if you look at what they have done in the offseason so far it’s pretty awesome.

Added:
Adam Frazier - 2021 All-star 2B
Jesse Winker - 2021 All-Star LF
Eugenio Suarez - 2018 All-Star 3B (should have been an all-star in 2019 too)
Robbie Ray - 2021 Cy Young winner

And he did all that without giving up any key pieces on the team and just one real prospect. Well that and a pile of cash for Robbie Ray obviously.

They still need to add another starter but that’s already a pretty solid offseason.

Ms fans being Ms fans and there is a sizeable contingent bitching and moaning that Dipoto didn’t blow $100 million+ on a player and thus the franchise is once again half-assing it.

Promptly after trading for Olson the Braves have signed him long-term.

I like it. I saw a stat somewhere that Atlanta is going to have Albies, Acuna and Olson on the roster this year for like 33 million total. That is kind of insane. Especially considering all those guys are signed, it’s not like someone is getting arbitration or rookie salary.

Olson is really good, offensively and defensively.

Cubs land Seiyo Suzuki, Phillies will sign Schwarber.

In pitching injuries, Boston announces Chris Sale has a stress fracture in his ribcage and will miss the start of the season. St. Louis ace Jack Flaherty had his shoulder get an MRI yesterday and is awaiting results.

And the A’s are absolutely in full rebuild:

have to think Sean Manaea and Frankie Montas are the next ones out of the door.

As a Blue Jays fan, In sure hope this Chapman trade turns out as well as the last time the Athletics traded a 3rd baseman to the Jays.

Can you translate from Canadian into English? (ie, name the player?)

LOL, Kris Bryant to the Rox. 7 years - $182m. Full NTC.

He’ll have a good time at Coors.
