The quasi-mystical BS in the Dragon starting area was annoying. It was like being trapped in a closet with the Merovingian from The Matrix.

The starting character creation choices aren’t great, at least for the guys. Very bland.

I do very much like the starting zombie game area! They get big points for that!

The starting area actually pays homage to the fictional town of Arkham in H.P. Lovecraft’s stories like Call of Cthulhu and Dunwich Horror. There’s even a book shop there named after him.

Yes, Kingsmouth is very obviously an homage to Lovecraft’s creations. I think that’s great.

Another note: I’m not sure if I’m a fan of the Ability Wheel. It seems a bit overdesigned. The clever zooming and wheel turning is a lot less clever when you’re just a noob trying to figure things out.
