I’m leaning towards the Fist/Chaos first 60 survival build from Triggercut’s link.
Got myself to Kingsmouth and did a few quests there. Really enjoying kinda taking my time, clicking through all the dialogue options.

This is a great starting point. I’ve been playing one night a week with a few friends since January, and we’ve been having a good time with the lore and the investigation missions. We’ve been taking it slowly - listening to all the dialog, reading new lore when it comes in, and it has made the game really enjoyable by focusing on its strengths - the setting, the writing and some (some!) of the voice acting. There are lots of little nods to horror fiction and King in particular, which has been a treat.
I started with : blade/fist survival build, which served me very well through Kingsmouth, only switching to a more tanking focused build when we went through the first Dungeon.
After reading this thread, I just had to restart an Illumi: Rae “Yshari” Mincer.
Now the hard part - deciding what build to go with. I loved playing blade/blood. So I’ll probably have to find something else that can do PBAoE and healing.
Anyone else had a problem with getting the client to start up? I can get through the login and character screens just fine, but then it just hangs (twice) or crashes (once). It’s weird, cuz it worked just a week ago.

Theoretically you can save your gear in the gear manager which should requip it. But it’s a bit buggy
I’ve been playing for a couple of weeks now, really enjoying the story and missions. Chose Illumi and I went for an AR survival build, doing ok and just getting the first missions done in Blue Mountains

Hotfreak and I are both progressing through the starting phases of the game. I’m going to start working on a healing build with blood/fist, while using my just-completed Champion starter deck for leveling other than that.
Would love to get some more of you all in chat and maybe figure out a time to go do Polaris!
Sure wish I could catch someone on. I’ve been in there half a dozen times this week and have yet to see anyone online.
Given the current qt3 population playing, we’ll probably need to formally organize playing times if we want to ensure seeing other qt3-ians online for groups, chat and such.
Having said that, we did have 4 on a little bit earlier.
I’m going to try to be on by 9:30-10:30 EDT every evening this week at the very least.
The game does allow custom UI mods, going to play around with some during the week.

Triggercut, I’ve installed a few ui mods too namely Deck Manager, Topbar Information Overload, ResourceHUD and Nametag Overload (I like this one, displays mob health as percentage too which is handy for those abilities that take advantage of health percentage…lot’s of configuration options too).

So any help for a new guy to this game? Just picked some random stuff based on how it felt and played through most of kingstown. I now have the cagemaster deck - but should i horde my SP and AP, or spend them as i go? Should i spend them on advancing skills along the set paths, or branch out? Can i get them refunded at a later point if i make mistakes?
