Then start with the first gun you get, unlock all its attachments, then move onto the next one and do the same. That way you get a pretty steady stream of stuff unlocked. If you stick with one gun the unlocks start to spread farther apart: 500 kills, 250 headshots, 1000 kills, etc.

So, had a strange little episode today. Knifed a guy; he died, and dropped a grenade; I picked that up, threw it a little ways, and killed his teammate with that. Fun, of course. Hung around there for a few more seconds, and then pulled a grenade to cover my escape. Before I threw it, however, I glanced at my screen and I definitely had two grenades in my inventory. Weird. I think I unintentionally glitched the game.

Anyonw know if there is a new glitch out? I played a couple of games last night and there were almost constant AC-130’s out, many called by the same guy. Another dupe bug? EDIT -> 360 version.

How is the cheating situation on the PC? I know it was pretty bad a month or two after release. Have the majority of exploits been patched out? Can pirates still play on official servers?

Played a 360 game this morning, and 80% of the match ran at hyperspeed. Made it impossible to aim. Somehow my team won (in fact the bonus XP was really high) – was this a mod of some sort?

So just park a commando/marathon build i your class lists for when you play in hacked games? Might aswell take advantage of it.

Or just stop playing which is what I did a while ago. Enjoyment levels had just shot down… I’m hoping when I pick up BC2 it will be more fun.

Great map, have you made any more? I was looking for youtube clips for this exact thing but for Afghan, where snipers can completely take over the game. I practiced in a private match and found a spot in the opium field where I can consistently toob the ridge but I couldn’t find reliable spots to get at the bunkers.

Based on my stats, how sad are my MW2 skills?

In 4 Hours, 56 Minutes of play:

I’m Level 15 with a score of 16360.
I have 159 Kills, 393 Deaths (Ratio of .40)
My best ever kill streak is 4.
I have 504 Hits, 7132 Misses (Accuracy of 6.60%)
I have 16 Wins, 22 Losses (Ratio of .73)

Compared to my friends list stats, I’m undeniably terrible at the game. That accuracy in particular is embarrassing. But I’m having a good time. Thoughts? Analysis? Suggestions?

5ish hours of data isn’t nearly enough to determine if you suck at the game or not. It is possible you suck, sure, but also possible you just need to learn the maps, guns and perks better.

As someone who never really played mw1 or games like it, mw2 was a big adjustment for me and I sucked pretty bad until about 24 hours of playtime. It didn’t help that I started the game months after my friends that I normally play with and so would often play against people 3rd prestige on my first time thru the levels.

What kind of class do you play? Do you rush, move about cautiously, or snipe? What gun do you use? Do you use explosives (you should)? Any maps giving you a hard time? We need more info :) The one thing that jumps out is accuracy. I’m at about 16%, the best on my friends list (Harkonis and Hellspawn who are MW2 machines) are at about 22% i think.

My best guess is that you move around too much and shoot while moving. Take it easy, move from cover to cover and pick your shots. Find some good spots on each map. I can give you some pointers if you like. I think you are on my friends list as well so if you see me on let’s join up.

I think my biggest problem is that I’m playing the game like Borderlands. Going from a Siren in that game, which is all about motion, to a slower, more deliberate pace has been difficult. I’m spraying bullets with my SCAR-H, and my kills feel lucky rather than planned. Last night I created a sniper class to force myself to slow down and focus on picking shots.

My other challenge is learning the maps, and yeah, five hours isn’t a lot of time to do that. I actually found a few places on “Highrise” last night that worked pretty well for me, leading to my magnificent kill streak of 4.

Go to Youtube and watch a few videos on the Seanannerschannel. He is the best player i have seen and he is damn funny to watch as well. He also gives a LOT of good tips on loadout, movement/placement and tactics.

The SCAR is one of the best guns in the game btw, so stick with it if you are happy with it.

The problem with watching Seananners is that it will just reinforce to you that you will never, ever, ever be as good as him. The kid is insanely good at this game. The only person I can think of that even comes close is iBigRen, who I believe has a legit K/D of around 11.

But definitely watch the Nannerman ColonelIT. He is a classy guy, awesome at the game, and makes great videos.
