I thought it was the mashup of catering to both biblical and nature worship pieces. A story of, well, mother earth giving everything to us and repeatedly being stripped of the very love and even children she gave us.
It was a rough movie to watch, for many reasons, but it took a long time to digest afterward. I should rewatch it at some point, but I just don’t think I’m ready, yet.
