MS or Sun Java for IE?

I need to install either the MS Java client or Sun’s. The Sun client (before I wiped my drive) seemed a bit of a resource hog (always trying to put itself in th tray looking for updates, using mem) - but maybe I’m just too OCD about it. So which should I grab?

Use Sun’s unless you have a very good reason to use Microsoft’s (eg, you’re accessing some intranet app that uses a Java applet that makes COM calls or something). Microsoft’s JVM is pretty old and obsolete and they are end-of-life’ing it at the end of 2007.
