Thus far, half an hour into the class, we’re still talking about the vocabulary used in the essay “Unforgettable Miss Bessie”.
It makes me want to tear my hair out. Maybe in a couple weeks we’ll graduate from Middle School to High School… and talk about five-paragraph essays a bit!
Oh yeah, and the “weekend homework”, I completed last week. In class.
The class had a good professor for the first two weeks, and then because of some internal conflict within the department there was a reshuffling, and now we have a professor who treats the class as morons.
At least she doesn’t mind me being on my computer, so long as I’m still paying attention, which I am, and participating in class, which I do more than any other kid in class despite reading/posting on forums at the same time…

It is curious to note that my best attendance in college was for classes that had no attendance policy. Granted, the added value of the professor explaining the content was such that if you did not go to class, you were screwed. Hurrah for the engineers, I guess.
It’s funny that I’m actually surprised to realize there are college students on this forum. I thought everyone was a middle-aged cranky journalist or video game designer. :)
