Winds were 30+ sustained gusting to 60+ in Evanston for the OSU-NW game - and Stroud also racked up his career high in rushing yards to compensate. You’d hope voters take more than a box score into consideration but I realize that may not happen.

And to be fair to Hooker, it was raining for a chunk of the game in Athens, and Tennessee probably isn’t quite as used to 93000 screaming fans (or maybe ten or so thousand fewer if you subtract the road team contingent) making play calling nearly impossible. But more than anything it was the Georgia coverage that was a stand out (that and that lovely 75 yard punt!).

I doubt it. This century, QBs have won 18 of the 21 Heismans awarded. Its become a QB award and there are plenty of stat worthy QBs out there, too many for Corum to get past. Not saying Corum is not worthy, he absolutely is, but history is not on his side.

On the other hand, UW’s Michael Penix played in similar conditions Friday night and was 30-52 for 298, abs still leads FBS in passing yards. He just doesn’t play for tOSU/ Alabama, and doesn’t get any of the Pac12 big boys at home. He does get a shot on the road v Oregon this week tho…

Fun fact from Michigan-Rutgers game. With 3 minutes left in the game, Michigan had 4 rushing touchdowns, Rutgers had 5 rushing YARDS.
