Yeah, that was a weird ending. It looked like TCU had better ball position on a couple of those and should have at least got a review on the 3rd down play.

So I think it’s safe to say that LSU ain’t beating Georgia.

Congrats to the Fresno State Bulldogs for beating Boise State on the ugly blue turf. 9-4 after a 1-4 start.

My guess is that the top 3 doesn’t change even with the TCU loss, esp since it happened in OT. Congrats to OSU I guess.

If TTUN gets blown out by Purdue they’d probably fall to 3. That’s the only way I could see a change.

Yep I think TCU is in as well as OSU and the only real question is who is 3 and who is 4. I can see it either way but in the end, I don’t think you punish TCU for making their conference championship but losing the extra game, especially since they took it to OT. So barring a major upset in the Big Ten tonite, its going to be Georgia, Michigan, TCU and OSU.

Agreed. They won’t want to put Michigan and OSU playing against each other again.

So Sanders has now been named the new coach at Colorado. Kind of a make or break job for Sanders.

It’s official: Georgia gets Ohio State, Michigan gets TCU.

Now we have another 3+ hours to find out the rest of the bowls. Completely ridiculous. This could be done in 30 minutes.

No Bama is a consolation.

Never in my wildest dreams did I expect 2 Big Ten teams in the 4-team CFP. USC really f’ed this up.

Washington was looking at a likely Rose Bowl if SUC had beaten Utah.

I think now the odds are we get the Alamo Bowl versus Texas. Obviously a big downgrade from Pasadena. At least we can look forward to a reunion. Not only is Sark our former coach, but he raided UW’s staff when he got the Texas job. They have our former defensive coordinator, too.

Maybe, but they shouldn’t get the rose bowl. It seems like the pac 12 champ or runner up should get the rose bowl.

Utah gets the Rose Bowl. It’s the rules. Pac-12 Champ is in the Rose unless the Pac-12 champ or Rose Bowl are unavailable that year due to the CFP. USC will probably get a NY6 game. Everyone else in the Pac gets bumped down.

If USC had gone to the CFP, the Rose Bowl would have been open, and every pundit was saying it was likely Washington, as Utah would have had 4 losses.

I understand that, my feeling is since the pac 12 got rid of the divisions and now the top 2 teams make it, then i feel the runner up should get the bid if the champion is in the playoffs, not the 3rd best team

I don’t disagree with you, but I also don’t expect this to change. The fundamental principle of college of football is to make money. All other concerns are secondary.

This is all really confusing.

Well it’s all changing now that the rose bowl is going to be part of the playoffs. I think the big 10/pac 12 rose bowl is dead

When the 12 team playoff takes the best 3 out of the big 10 and the best 3 out of the pac 10, I’m not sure what kind of game is left for a “holiday” bowl. I guess Purdue/Oregon would be the matchup. Not sure anybody wants to see that.

Let’s be honest, a 12 team bowl is not going to include the 3 best Pac 12 most of the time. Maybe 2 teams make it to a 12 team playoff.
