Hmmm, can’t remember my Guild Wars password or character name and the password reset server has apparently fallen over.
Wow, that’s fuck up on a major scale right there. I would not want to be part of that organization right now.
Here’s hoping they resolve the account exploit quickly without too much loss of customers. Any way you slice it though … bad juju.
I had a friend in this boat, mostly because she couldn’t remember the name of a character on the account (she has more than one account). She did work with customer support, though, and got the issue resolved fairly quickly. No, her account hadn’t been hacked; she’d just not logged onto it in a while.
Oh, and for recovering passwords, I use Identity Finder.
