Need a cheap headset

I just noticed today that my PC headphones’ left earpiece has died, so I’m looking for a cheap replacement for them. I’m hoping someone here knows more about headsets than I do, so I’m not buying blind.

Considerations:

  • I don’t want to pay more than $50 if possible.
  • I’m not an audiophile, so sound quality isn’t especially important.
  • It needs a microphone, and I’m willing to pay more for one if necessary.
  • It needs to be wired.
  • I don’t want earphones/earbuds/etc. that go into the ears.

Suggestions?

If you don’t like behind-the-ear, I’ve been using the Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 and recommend it, they cost ~$25.
