I’ve been a Gaiman fanboy for some years now. When I wanted to buy Neverwhere in English (I read it in German the first time) there was an “author’s preferred text”. OK, I thought, it’s a director’s cut. Fine. Then came the “the author’s preferred text” of American Gods. Does anyone know the differences or is Gaiman just out of money? I liked AG, but it’s not like the new edition makes that much difference, like e. g. Stephen Kings two editions of The Stand.
