The guy is a total piece of lying garbage, this isnāt surprising.

It is entirely plausible that Charlie Kirk was checked in (maybe triaged), but the only flat place for him to lay down was on the bench outside while waiting for a bed.
I canāt believe Iām defending Charlie Kirk Actually, Iām not. Iām defending the hospital. They are following procedure. If it was truly life threatening (and Iām pretty sure a thrown out back isnāt generally cause for concern with a blood clot) they would have rolled out a bed into the hallway for him.
Granted, this is perfect evidence that our health care system needs work, but heāll probably take it the wrong way and call for more privatization with more competition or something.

I mean⦠maybe.
I was triaged at an ER because I cut my fingernail mostly off while chopping (need to work on my knife skills) and I was certainly mad to be in pain while I sat in the ER waiting to be seen, but I didnāt decide to make it a PR opportunity to blame someone else for the ER being a bit busier that night. There were far sicker people ahead of me, I didnāt die. Who cares?
Charlie just traffics in this kind of whiny B.S. Wouldnāt this be a reason to blame our current non-government run healthcare? Shouldāt we have the best hospitals in the world without any wait times for people who can pay like Chuckie Kirk?
Dude is a whiny toolbag, and I think it is even funnier that he went in, got triaged as non life threatening, and rather than stand in the waiting room, he went out in the parking lot and went āthis will make a great photo opā
What a fucking tool.
When owning the libs goes wrong.
Have you checked the children?
the call⦠itās coming from inside the house!
There was that one guy in 2017 who attacked a Republican in a congressional baseball game, he gets talked about a LOT on right-wing talk radio as an example of left-wing extremists.

Itās unseemly to downplay this incident. . The guy brought an assault rifle to a Congressional baseball practice and shot five people, two critically, before he was killed by the police. Itās just luck that many more werenāt killed.
Is anyone here downplaying it? No, seriously; anyone?

See the post I was replying to.
It was not my intention to downplay the incident. Just to point out that the one incident is enough to be a long term example of how both sides have zealots, not just the right-wing.

Plus that article is specifically referring to murders. The baseball shooter didnāt murder anyone, despite his best efforts. The bank shooter yesterday murdered at least 5 people. 21yo white kid. Not sure if heās a right-wing nut or just a nut but heās certainly in the demographic.
I did. Reread it multiple times, even.

If you donāt think āattacked a Republicanā downplays an attempted massacre of Republican Congressmen, so be it. It was the most significant act of violence directed against American elected officials since 9/11.

If it was that significant then youād think the GOP would have moved to enact some significant legislation on gun control. If it had been some undocumented worker then weād probably see even more insane anti-immigrant policies put into place by this administration. Guns used to try to massacre people? Nothing to see here, move along, move along.

Or are you considering the other one worse because there were more potential targets?
Arise!
(I wish I could say this topic hadnāt seen posts recently because the subject was obsolete. But of course the blood-chilling real reason is that the subject was being covered in the Trump, GOP, and shootings threads.)
The El Paso and Dayton shootings have managed to get both 8chan and, as a bonus, Daily Stormer taken offline for now:
I think this was just a thread for 2019 when the other one broke when Discourse was struggling with super huge threads. Then Discourse got fixed and we moved back.
Here you go:
We can close this one probably, the other has been very active for a long while.
