That is really very unlikely :)

Iâm well aware of that. Next time someone posts bemoaning how quiet and lopsided P&R has become, Iâll link them to your post. It should prove quite enlightening.
âOh look, thereâs a new user engaging in genuine debate but not from the prevailing point of view. Iâll do a Trump impression and call him a naziâ
Hey man, I wouldnât be at all saddened if Nazi-defenders never posted here again. No real fuckinâ loss there.
Well, i live in Greece, so i donât know exactly what laws are federal, or what laws each state has. All i know is that freedom of speech is a human right and no matter how you sugar coat your fascism and political discrimination, doesnât make it right. Remember that in N. Korea it is legal to ban all free speech. Does it make it right? Laws are one thing, human rights are another. Some nations, including the USA, disrespect part or all of human rights. That is your duty as us citizens and âantifaâ to rectify, not demand for more discriminationâŚ
I remember news about christian businesses getting sued for not servicing gay couples. So apparently it is bad if you discriminate vs gays, but not bad if you discriminate politically. Let that sink in for a second:
Christian businesses didnât discriminate vs the gays because the gays also discriminated vs christian beliefs, which is illegal (i googled it) even in USA. You canât force a religious person into a position that violates his beliefs. If christians believe homosexuality is bad, they shouldnât be forced to violate their religious beliefs and service gays. Yet the courts decided to punish them.
On the other hand, on the MORE SERIOUS ISSUE OF POLITICAL DISCUSSION AND FREEDOM which affects the proper function of democracy, you people are apparently ok with political discrimination?
And then you wonder why you are slipping into fascism and civil warâŚ

Heâs not defending Naziâs, youâre just unfortunately far too stupid to grasp that.
âI donât like that a domain registrar (without which you cannot have a webpage) can remove a website because it contains views that the majority of society rightfully view as abhorrent, obscene and immoral, it sets a bad precedentâ
âYou naziâ
I mean really, shouldnât you be on one of those incredibly shitty subreddits like /fuckthealtright? They donât like discussion there, you should fit right in.
Yet tragically you are stuck with me. I weep for your frustration.

I get frustrated by people who are wilfully ignorant, I feel genuinely sorry for people who canât help it.
@Balasarius Iâm guessing GR combined with his writing style means heâs Greek, and influenced by the ECJâs interpretation of Human RIghtsâ, freedom of expression & discrimination. Itâs decidedly different than how itâs viewed over the water.

Thatâs fine with me. You choose your political beliefs, and can reconsider them at any time. You should be held responsible for your choice. In contrast, gays donât choose their sexual orientation.
Who decides who is an asshole? Who gets to decide what opinions are valid, what opinions are moral, what opinions are allowed to be public and what opinions are to be buried?
You claim that right wingers are assholes and that makes discriminating against them ok. But who are YOU to say they are assholes? What if YOU are the asshole? Who gets to decide who is right and who is wrong? On what grounds?
Hitler believed Jews were the assholes. He butchered them. Stalin believed christians were assholes. He butchered them. Back then, there were people like you who said âwell they got what they deserved, they were assholesâ. After all, Hitler said Jews were about to eradicate the white race! What a bunch of assholes!
See where this is going? There is no superior being able to decide who gets to be the asshole and who is in the right. You canât have that, because it leads to totalitarianism.
It is better to allow assholes to speak, even if you disagree with them, than the alternative.
If you cannot silence the assholes with proper discussion and proper arguments, then maybe you are the asshole and you donât know it yet. Food for thought.
Thatâs easy. We all get to decide. If you want to fight for the rights of Nazis, feel free. But (in the US at least) you donât generally have the right to force others to subsidize your speech. Canât speak for Greece.
Why reconsider your political beliefs? Discriminating politically is political violence. Essentially you claim you are fine with putting pressure on people to switch their political beliefs, because you donât like them. How democratic of you.
How would it be, if the alt-right controlled all media, and told you the same thing? What if you were banned from everywhere, and alt-wingers told you âwell, you can always reconsider being antifa, come on Anakin, join the Dark sideâ.
Put yourselves into the other peopleâs position. It is something you people never do.
As for gays, this is not set in stone. Scientifically, there are scientists who claim homosexuality can change, and others who claim it canât change. And just because political beliefs can change, doesnât mean they are valid grounds for discrimination.
Obesity can change. Does it make it ok to discriminate vs fat people?
Who is the asshole? Why, Denis Leary, of course.
As a fat fucking loser, I really wish someone had discriminated against me harder, earlier so I might have realized what a terrible fucking choice that was.
Whatâs with the influx of these bozos on QT3 lately.

Pressuring people to change their political beliefs is the essence of democracy.
There are plenty of political groups without any access to mainstream media. Which corporation supports animal liberation? Or euthanasia? Or single payer? These groups make do by using non-traditional media. Nobody can stop you from passing out pamphlets.
Nothing is set in stone, but our society has determined that sexual orientation is so difficult to change that it might as well be considered immutable.

So what then⌠when they start slaughtering millions of people we decide itâs time to stop them? I mean, we talked our way through not doing anything (itâs not genocide!) when 6 million people were killed in Rwanda. The problem with âlet everybody talk foreverâ is that thereâs no black and white definition of what is talk and what goes beyond freedom of speech. Is it freedom of speech if I peacefully demonstrate with 150,000 of my best well-armed friends through the streets of DC, while we all sing songs about how we arenât assholes?
If you want to say that we shouldnât draw the lines, then I think youâd better first clarify where you are willing to draw the line, because we ALL are willing to draw a line, itâs just a matter of where.
Who is âallâ? I donât recall Twitter or Facebook having a referendum to decide who the assholes are. No one asked ME. No one asked YOU. Some suits decided it behind the scenes.
And you canât be âallâ. You have to subtract the people who disagree with you, from âallâ. You donât represent everyone charmtrap. No one voted you representative of âallâ. Not you, or Zuckerberg, or anyone else.
As for the sbusidization of speech, this is funny. Where come the income of those platforms? From advertisements (and data mining). Who advertises there? Commercial companies who sell products. Who buys those products, and thus pays for social media? ALL, including âthe assholesâ. That means, that potentialy the âassholesâ or âundesirablesâ have paid for a service that decided to discriminate against them anyway. Essentially, you are forcing âallâ to subsidize your political atzenda. Do the math.
Thank you for your rich arguments. You are a beacon of intelligence, what would humanity do without you?
