I watched a Jackie Chan movie “Little Big Soldier” on streaming with the Mrs. last night. It started off looking like a slapstick movie, but it actually ended up being pretty interesting, and with a non-standard ending, to boot. If you are okay with subtitles, I’d give it watch.

The Grand make it part of a Werner Herzog flim fest.

Add Cave of forgotten dreams to your Werner Herzog flim fest.

I see “Luther” season 2 is available for streaming. I’m putting that on my short list.

Do it! Season 2 has some greatness. It’s just sad it was only 4 episodes. At least we are going to get season 3 by the end of the year/early next.

Need some Netflix recommendations appropriate for mature 8 and 11 year old boys but not kiddie. They won’t watch kiddie (cartoony) stuff :sigh:

I hope their mother enjoys her girl’s weekend at Canyon Ranch…

Burn Notice?

Are all those old campy 90’s adventure shows on netflix? Hercules, etc? Those might work.

Msk 3000 movies might work.

The A-Team (the original series) is always a hit with my kids.

Merlin (the Syfy series) might be something they would enjoy.

Legend of the Seeker is another series that falls into that category, as is Robin Hood (the BBC version).

My 9-year-old is loving Chuck. (Wait, that might be Hulu Plus…)

Or Breaking Bad, if you don’t want the mother to run off for the weekend again.

Can’t find Chuck. I looked up Breaking Bad. Seems a wee bit violent for them.

I have Conan the Destroyer and Hoosiers in instant right now. Terminator too, but that’s R although I don’t remember it being that bad.

Yeah, Breaking Bad was a joke. I should be more careful. :)

star trek tng borg two-parter (season 3 ender and season 4 opener i think)
st: original balance of terror (season one)

Oohhhhhh, been wanting to see this!! Thanks!!

This sounds like a cook calling out a diner order.

Just watched The Iron Giant today with my son as he’s under-the-weather and it’s therefore a couch day. He’s seven, and this was his first time watching it. I’m here to report that we both got more than a little…what’s the term of art around here? Dusty? Man that movie slays me every time; it was such a pleasure to share it with him and watch him fall for it too.

I own it, but I just checked Netflix and it’s available on Instant, so I fell okay talking about this here.

Thanks for the heads-up on Rango! I watched that this afternoon and absolutely loved it. Fantastic soundtrack, too.

What is this Cracle app on the 360? Seemed to have a limited selection but among them a ton of Godzilla movies.
