I just think it’s hilarious that they get the Bond movies for only a week-long contract. And sometimes even 3-day contracts. You have to be on your toes or they’ll be gone! :)

Well that stinks! I was ready for some more 007 tonight after the ballgame. I had a marathon just about a week ago and wanted to catch a few more. I hadn’t seen a lot of the earlier ones, they are great! :)

I enjoyed it until the last episode, which was trying way too hard to push every emotional button it could find. Just sickly-sweet and maudlin in the worst possible way. I’m not sure I’ve ever turned on a show so quickly before.

Agreed that Karl steals the show. I’d love a show just about him.

I’m so happy you posted this. I got that email as well, and it was a welcome one since I just finished watching Extras and was depressed. Not just because the show itself is depressing, but because it’s becoming increasingly clear that as much as I love him because of The Office, I’m afraid Ricky Gervais is something of a one-trick pony. That ad/splash picture of Derrick with his Ricky Gervais pathetic-face isn’t helping. God I just have no desire to even look at that show.

Anyway, Louie immediately cleared the fog. Which is weird, because it’s far from happy-go-lucky. But damn. He’s just so good.

Hold on there. We watch a ton of stuff. How else are we going to brush off the chaff?

I’ll give Derek a shot eventually. I’m just saying that Extras was pretty disheartening.

Uh…how did Wreck-It Ralph come into your post? Kind of a non sequitur, no? I didn’t see that due to time constraints, not predispositions. What a weird reference.

Extras worked for me because it had its own one-trick pony, the celebrity guest stars. Gervais was still Gervaising it up, which is fine, but the guests kept things interesting. I doubt it could ever hold up if it were an American show cranking out 22 episodes a year, but it was fun enough while it lasted.

I also have no idea why we’re talking about Wreck-it Ralph, but I would still be curious how the podcast crew would like it, since we’re talking about it now. I guess I should’ve dropped a few hundred bucks on the pledge drive.

Everything I know about Wreck-It Ralph I know from playing Sega All Stars Transformed Sonic Racing, or whatever it’s called. The one where John C. Reilly taunts you from a tow truck. But, yeah, I keep meaning to watch that, but I usually watch some dopey horror movie instead. Because, you know, cartoons. :) Seriously, though, thanks for the reminder.

I’ve watched a few episodes of season 8 supernatural. I’m not feeling the old love. A lot of the humor seems to have dried up (Garth notwithstanding), along with a lot of the worse behavior. Dean used to be a half-bottle-of-bourbon-a-night guy, now he brings home a six pack to split with his brother. The whole thing feels a lot different from old Supernatural. I don’t want to check the supernatural thread (Spoilers), but does the season improve? I just watched the Spectre episode.
