Seconded. After recently finishing the amazing, pulp spectacle that was the first season of Spartacus, I was hoping the prequel would hurry up and get on instant.

Aaargh – Netflix is down on Xbox Live tonight according to an Xbox Live status alert. They’re say they’re very sorry, but I sure they won’t be offering us a refund for the percentage of our membership fees for today.
I was wondering what the fuck was going on. It would be nice if they used some of that ad bandwith to post a status message in the console.

Huh. Oh well, I watched Netflix all night on the PS3. My wife actually likes the 360 interface better, but the sound is better on PS3 so I was over there.
PS3 was having trouble connecting last week.
Not a recommendation exactly, but Snake Island is worth a peek for the scene where William Katt (Greatest American Hero) dances with a couple of topless women while an evil snake secretly watches them (and dances). The rest of the movie is standard B or C fare.

Does anyone have trouble with the lighting in darker scenes? Some scenes I can see almost nothing because it is like there is less light than in the actual film/TV show.
My crush on Noomi Rapace continues, The Girl who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest is now on instant view.

Watched this last night. It was better than the reviews, although some of the stuff was hard to watch. But I enjoyed watching Salander’s recovery to full strength and the trial at the end was worth it.

Actually i got a notice from netflix that i would be getting 2%* refund for my day’s inactivity.
*I can’t recall the exact amount, but it was a small amount.

Netflix usually offers a credit if they can determine that you did try to access the service while it was down.

Disney/ABC dumped a bunch into Netflix Instant this morning. I can finally rewatch The Cosby Show.
Also, High School Musical 1 & 2 are there, among other Disney fare.

The other night we watched Assassination of a High School President which was a pleasant surprise. Kind of like Brick, in that it does noir set in a high school, but it doesn’t take itself as seriously. Great quotes-- “The name’s Bobby Funke. I write for the paper.” Some really nice performances from young actors, and even Bruce Willis as the Gulf War-vet principal who cares more about who’s chewing gum than major crimes being perpetrated in his school.
While I’ve not seen Brick, I loooooooooooooooved Assassination of a High School President. Great performances all around, with several LoL moments from Willis.

You really should watch Brick. It’s on watch instantly. Not a comedy but very good IMO.
Woo, they just dumped all the Rosanne box sets on Instant Watch! I have a weird soft spot for that show. Now I can see if my warm memories match up to reality.

And speaking of netflix, is there site down…for some reason I keep getting page not found…?
Weird, if I put in netflix.com, I get http://movies.netflix.com/WiHome…so must be something odd on my end because I was able to use a link and got there just fine.
eh, never mind, it is some weird Safari issue.

Watched Heartbreaker http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/larnacoeur/ last night with my wife and it was exactly as advertised, a silly, very french romantic comedy wrapped up in a better than usual plot that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Worth a look.

The Dark Side of the Moon is a cheerfully spirited little B-movie in the haunted-spaceship genre that just popped up the other night. It involves the Bermuda Triangle, and the manner in which it does means that it doesn’t take place on the moon’s far side, which is only one of the subtler layers of comedy in it. Satan also stars by way of voice reverb and yellow scleral lenses. I liked it much more than Event Horizon.
I just watched Exam, a woooo psychological mindfuck attempt that comes off pretty flat despite decent performances and premise. As with many films of this genre, there is nowhere to go in the final act so you get a deus ex machina, something simply out of nowhere, something stupid or nothing. Exam gives you all 4!
I was happy to see that all of 3rd Rock from the Sun is up now too.
