How the fuck can you recommend The China Syndrome and not mention Jack Lemmon?
Well well you’re going to have to watch the entire film given away in the trailers released like 2 years before the film even comes on theaters!

I enjoyed it, actually, but turns out it is not a movie to watch when you are away from your kiddies on a business trip.
I liked Shutter Island. Not at all a believable story but I can be forgiving.

“Recommended based on your interest in: Moon”
Signed up within the last month so the recommendation thing is still funny for me.

I didn’t see anyone mention it, so: Seasons 1-5 of Trailer Park Boys are up on Instant Watch now.

Awesome movie. Jack Lemmon really needs to fix that stutter.
I’m a sucker for cheesy pre-CGI special effects and Queen of Bloodis the new Queen of my heart.
Travel with Basil Rathbone and John Saxon and Dennis Hopper to the fantastic future of 1990!
Clever use of re-cut Russian sci-fi movies and drenched in technicolor, QOB is a nice little slice of B movie making.
EDIT: I love the scene where the Queen wakes up and immediately gives the one female astronaut the hairy eyeball. Even green intergalatic bitchez be hatin.
Amazon Prime subscribers (paid ones) have a selection of free streamed titles. I scanned the list and there’s a few titles that Netflix does not offer on streaming.
A lot of the BBC stuff is up: Yes, Prime Minister, MI-5 (excluding Season 5 for some reason), the new Dr. Who’s (Season 1-5?)
Helvetica
Dragon Tattoo trilogy

Amazon has seven seasons of Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood. Sweet.
Jesus, could I love Amazon more?
I had no idea about the free Prime streaming thing. That’s a really nice perk. Lots of overlap with Netflix, but a lot of not-overlap too (especially with 80s and earlier movies). Thanks for the links!

Makes me regret finally caving and buying blu-ray players in December, mainly because they also had Netflix. Now I’ll have to get new ones that support Amazon too unless by some miracle they patch in support with a firmware update.
Get a Roku box. They’re cheap and support pretty much everything.
Damn. Apparently only the primary accountholder gets the free streaming. Which is to say, not me. I begin to see an ulterior motive at work here.

Yep. I posted over in the Amazon streaming topic– not only does it only work for primary account holders, it also doesn’t work for student accounts or Amazon Mom free Prime accounts. So it’s a definitely upsell incentive.
Netflix fires back:

With a non-exclusive deal? That’s a bit weak.
Cheers is getting added? That’s great! I’ve been picking up the seasons piecemeal, when I can find 'em cheap.
So what:
as are episodes from all generations of the definitive sci-fi series, “Star Trek,”
Yesssssss.
Marathon Married…with Children watching.
With some Monty Python thrown in, a sprinkle of Red Dwarf.
And anime, lots of anime. I so enjoy Netflix.
