Trinity and Beyond.
If you like seeing things blow up, and especially if you like seeing nuclear things blow up, I’ve got the documentary for you!
Guess who also doesn’t have 4G coverage yet?
Vermont is not high on the list of states to get the new hotness in digital communications technology, despite over a decade of politicians, from Howard Dean forward, promising we’d be a leader in widespread broadband.

No, Morse code has a “2” state. : P
Hellz yeah, I have heard nothing but good things about this.

Do you mean documentaries or fiction? I think Fire in the Sky is available instantly and I quite liked it when I was younger.
When it comes to ufos, is there a difference?

Documentaries or “based on a true story” movies. I recently saw The Fourth Kind (not on Instant afaik), and while it’s totally absurd it’s actually quite scary. I was discussing it at D&D last night with my friend, and we both got the willies thinking about the owls. Good late night movie. I recommend it.
I found a huge torrent of Bob Lazar interviews, audio and video, over the weekend. That kept me entertained while conquering Mt. Laundry on saturday morning.

Instant watch is different on Xbox Live!
I wanted to watch some Dr. Who episodes that have relevance to the current storyline. I checked on my PC and every episode of the “new” series is there, with the Christmas specials and the last few Tennant specials listed separately.
On XboxLive, however, Season 5 (aka the first Matt Smith season) is NOT available, and says “DVD only.” But I can walk over to my PC and watch any episode.
WTF, Netflix? Weird licensing that doesn’t include XboxLive?

When Netflix first launched on the Xbox there were lots of items available for streaming only on the PC and not on the Xbox. So, licensing could conceivably be the issue.

Incidentally to that particular case, they did just make season 5 available on Netflix for 360. I noticed the same thing a couple of weeks ago, but last night wanted to throw on something while was cleaning, and noticed season 5 is now available.
Alright so last night I discovered Is It Real? is available on instant, which scratched my UFO itch for the evening.
It’s a decent enough show but it does treat the subject matter rather condescendingly. I’m sure that’s fine for the Seliers of the world but I prefer to live in a fantasy world where UFOs are real and Jason and Grant aren’t frauds.
Last night I just finished watching a show that I ended up liking a lot: Luther. It’s a 6-episode BBC series about a detective in a serious crimes unit in London. Idris Elba gives a great performance as the title character, and there are a few other interesting characters, as well. The plot never went where I was expecting it to go, which is always a good thing.
for some reason both netflix and hulu are subject to three different types of licensing. TV (xbox/PS3 and the like), PC, and mobile (iphone/android/ipad)
All three have different content on both services.

I am sure there is some suit who thinks this is pushing someone to buy DVD or something by denying one set of equipment something and not the others. It’s so irritating. Right up there with being able to get Hulu Plus on some devices but not Hulu.

Kick Ass is available. It is an enjoyable film.
Awesome. I think Kick Ass is right up there with Dark Knight and Spiderman 2 in the company of the best superhero films. However, the ending didn’t sit all that well with me. It just wasn’t as emotionally satisfying as the rest of the movie.
Similar problem here, except no cable. We do get really, really crappy slow-as-it-gets dsl. I’d kill for cable.
And yet you do well at online FPSs.
heh, I was top player in a UK clan of Action Quake with dial up and a 500ms ping average. Ping isn’t everything. Sadly games these days have such horrible net code that 300ms on dial up felt smoother than 100ms on broadband these days. (but that’s a topic for another thread)
