By the way, Joe Bolt is showing me how Jungle can still be competitive. He is giving me fits in our Rd 6 game and I’m playing Outpost for goodness sake. So hopefully it isn’t all doom and gloom in MP5:)

Cool, Jay! (And Joe.) I played a funzie vs A.o.D where he was Jungle and I was New York and we tied 11-11 or so. Again, he showed me how it’s done!
If PAL beats soon, we will have FOUR people tied at third place. That’s six people to enter the playoffs. Crazy! I don’t think I’ll let this stop the start of Melting Pot 5, though.

R6: Joe (Jungle) over Jay (Outpost) 20 - 14, was a perfect draw for Jungle (and a not so great one for outpost). Even with a couple of bad placements by me I was still able to hold out. Great game Jay! (hopefully your MP5 draws will be as good as mine!)

I’m thinking probably 3 tied for 3rd. Soon just gutted my Smart troops with red’s big bomb. It isn’t easy to stay dispersed yet pack a punch - I knew I was running a risk. He’s got me lined up with ranged units and he just pulled a battle.

R6 - clyve out SMARTs Jay’s bunch of silly rats I got damage in early and the speed and mobility of Smart made it tough for Jay to get a hit in after. He castled around my shots for the last half, but the damage was done.

In the Lost Cities (App store link) league, we’re doing something special and it is very easy for a new player to jump in and learn the game while having a weird kind of fun!

RESULTS FOR MASS FUNZIE 4 ARE IN:
JammaTal wins the funmoney?! Well Vesper, we tried and failed to keep this non-league from winning. The game took a while and I don’t remember most of it well enough to give one of my usual colorful dialogues… What I do remember was Vesper stealing stuff early and getting teamed up on for a bit. JammaTal stealthily stole the lease and castled quickly away like the dirty rat he is. Vesper and I nearly turned it around, but it pulled 2(!) explosives in the last round!
Round 6 result:
What a great game – a bloodbath. Such a great comeback, prolix, just 1 freaking point short. I spontaneously screenshotted the result because it was sooo good.

Yeah, it was a great game. I soaked up damage early to clear the board and go full aggro, but it wasn’t enough. It was nice to play a NHex game for once that wasn’t over halfway through.
