We played this one live - I love that! 20 intense minutes. As I see it, the game turned on Dirk’s early placement of a netfighter on my HQ. I countered with a bomb. He pulled his second netfighter. I luckily drew the rat hole, pulling his 2nd netfighter off the bomb and placing another in defense.
There’s no certainty with NSX. Dirk, in your place I might have played a tile next to the first netfighter, blocking direct access. Of course that would have left your own HQ exposed, and the rats might have drawn the mortar and countered the 1st netfighter anyway. Who knows how it would have ended? Not me. Alright. Dave discarded the push implant, and used the move module to move Mephie to B4 facing C4. Then he put the toughener on A3. Lastly, he puts the initiative module on B2 with the armour facing downward.

I feel like it takes some thought and I normally go back and double check but in my opinion it’s no different from most board games; We are spoiled by the digital version and don’t want to think :P
MP7 results:
jaygittings > Vesper (10 - 1). It was close early on and only really got lopsided in the last few turns when I was able to clear most of the board. Good game.
I don’t want to steal soon’s thunder, but he did beat me earlier in the month.

Sigh. Dropped my last 2 games to Annie and Sotnik which puts me at 4-6. Not great for DDM. I’m rusty.

WOAH forgot about M vs MS!
Ok. Last time, Dave had two initiative modules and a push implant. He chose to toss te implant and place the nodules on C4 and D4, then tunneled Mephisto over beside my Hq on e5. I have very little hope left for winning this game.

Pushing his module out of the way to hit him for one damage feels like peeing my pants to warm up. I need to kill crap…
I shove his module on D4 to D3, place one of my units on C3 so he’s attacking all three init modules and battle. All three init modules kick the big one AND my ranged chap at the bottom hits his mobility implant. It’s got an extra toughness, so it’s not dead… But close! I took three damage for this little stunt though… Not sure I can hit back hard enough this late in the game
