Beatrix got all modules for the first half of the game and I was established enough to knock out his units once they finally turned up.

This game came down to the wire! I took a gamble hoping that he didn’t have any more fire power on the last draw and started a battle with my shotgun in hand for later. He drew a module and a battle… I won by 1 single point o_o
I don’t think there was any place to put the shotgun pre-battle that would have been useful at that point, right? I think my HQ was tile-locked, and even if I had a unit left you were enough in the corner that I wouldn’t have been able to get the +melee needed to offset the shotgun.
I’m kind of happy losing by 1, since it would have been much worse 6 months ago. I did a couple of indirect moves (neutralizing the rocket launcher so it only got one round of dmg in, playing the top of the map early to prevent too much of your push-guy from…pushing, I guess) that I wouldn’t have thought about in the past.

Nope he was useless but I could have left the board as it was and we would have tied. I gambled hoping that I could sneak an extra couple damage in and it could have went either way :P
