I took center, stung him early and then spiraled my units in front of me and hid in the corner like a coward.
MP 15.2 Joe over Dave
I feel bad claiming this one (not really, but don’t tell Dave). A couple of mistakes let me sneak away with a one point win here.
- Dave thought he could move his unit when I had it bribed. $$$ talks.
- Outpost scope kind of looks like a bribe, but isn’t. I didn’t notice this either, was sure we would tie but the scoped tile blocked damage.
Great game Dave, friendly rematch? Or you hate me?
I’ve played Vegas a lot, so I know you had a bad mix of tiles. Whereas I had the best of starts: my first 2 tiles were a Mortar + a Battle tile. And I got the Hole pretty early on in the game. (Why is there no sound when the toxic/corrosive Hole melts down an enemy unit at the end of a battle round? There should be a mighty ‘Schll-UUURRRPPP!’, imho).

That game was so damned close! If it wasn’t for my little shredder comin out at the last minute, that game was all yours! It was tough watching you fire mortar after mortar… Glad I persevered :D

clyve/Smart turned the tables on me/Sharrash in the final battle. Did you notice my last 3 tiles were 2 x modules + a Battle tile? And I threw away one of the modules - what a rookie mistake! Otherwise I could’ve covered my one unprotected side (where you took 4 hp from me). It was 13-10 in the end. Ghaahh! :-)

MP 15.2: jaygittings > joebolt. Joe played a great game and just ran out of units at the end. DDM doesn’t give much room for vegas to wiggle. GG.
Good game Jay! Yeah, DDM can really though down some damage, hard for Vegas to keep up. Kept forgetting too that you can rotate your units from HQ… wouldn’t have made a difference in the end, but grrrr…
That double net you threw down in corner was a nice move too, really hampered my attempts at bribery!
