The neat thing about Trung’s spreadsheet (which you can find if you dig around in some of the old tourney threads…if I find it I will post it again) was the data source. He used our games here to come up with the ratios and matchups. This gave a sense of not only army balance, but how we as a group played them.

Yeah. Trung I know. We played in the finals of the melting pot tourney. I’m pretty sure i lost to him (I’d have to scroll up to remember). Even looked at the spreadsheet a bit. Seemed like a bunch of numbers. Or, as I call them, schmumbers. Folderol, all of it. Neuroshima don’t need no numbers.

Isn’t there… isn’t there numbers on each… Oh never mind.

Har har. Nice funzie. I’d forgotten how dynamic Vegas can be.

It was really interesting :) Sharrash and Vegas can both be so slippery.
it was difficult to predict what would happen the next turn, and I found myself pleading with the game gods more than once that you wouldn’t pull a battle in your draw haha

So Annie understands Dancer pretty well… Ouch

I can’t really see jungle ever beating dancer tho. Wanna switch armies or try something different? Lemme know what to be and send an invite!

I don’t know anything about the new armies but I didn’t know much about the old armies until I started playing in the league ; )

Trung’s spreadsheet is linked in the FAQ in post two of this very thread.

We begin this morning! Just let me make coffee…

The official Round 1 matchups!

Each player should create two games, one against each of the two players below in the list (which wraps around, so, for example, jaygittings creates a game vs Vesper and another game vs opkopk). Thus, everyone will play four games in round one.

When you create a game, either

  1. Use the matchup chart in the original post (also posted here cuz it’s pretty) and roll a random pairing using the link below the chart (in the original post). If you take this approach, then name your game something like “AT (blue) prolix (doom)” so that your opponent knows which army to use without having to visit the thread. Everyone gets one free mulligan per round which forces a re-roll (no matter who rolled it).
  • or -
  1. Pick an army and name your game something like “AT (jungle) prolix (?)” so that your opponent knows to choose an army.

Anyone who loses all four games in a round is knocked out. If no one loses all four games in a round, then all players with the least cumulative wins are knocked out.

Challenging jay with Doom and Vesper with them Rats!

I didn’t know you worked at Dunkin in the mornings.

Wha’ happen’ to me…? sniff I wish to be annihilated.

Anyone know who won the September finals?

Adding you in at random!

You fell right at the bottom. Rolled an 11 on a d11! So you should challenge the top two in the list.

Dave, make sure you put Mysterio somewhere where I can whoop up on him :-)

Edit>> yay!

My huge cranium is pulsating.

Started my two games. Went random rolls.

I should be paying more attention! I completely spaced telling Annie that I was up for the tournament!

Accepted opkopk.

challenges out to Vesper and Mysterio. Time for some Hex action!
