Hahaha totally. Sick burn duder.

Jeez, is this place QuartertoFalloutThree now?
I dunno, Makagulfazel, maybe you should ask the “news team?”
Heh. With NMA’s unrelenting hostility, fanaticism, and bias, no company in their right minds would give them access. After all, if you’re in business and trying to show a profit, wasting your time with a site guaranteed to bash you no matter what you do has an unquestionably negative ROI.

It’s just this thread, which derailed a long time ago.
:-)
So much sound and fury over a Wasteland ripoff.
Dan, I LOVE your suggestions for why there could be Super Mutants on the East Coast and stay within canon. I’ve been doing some tabletop gaming lately, and quick solutions like yours are what keep things moving, interesting, and prevent them from disintegrating into squabbling.
I love that on the last page of that thread, after a few people were successfully arguing for sanity, one of the moderators threatens to ban them for causing “drama”. Great stuff. It’s just amazing that nobody heads over there to have an “interesting discussion” about Fallout 3, isn’t it?
Click the topics on the news, there are plenty of people defending everything about Fallout 3 and Bethesda, and being quite rude towards NMA in general and several members in particular. Much better than GamersWithJobs, where expressing doubts about Fallout 3 is forbidden, and you can be banned for it, or this place, where if you aren’t a sociopath you are asked to leave (that just happened to Desslock).
If you don’t get the irony of attacking NMA for lack of “interesting discussions” while posting side by side with Bill and Kunikos than that’s too bad.
Sadly Fallout 3 is secondary to the internet Holocaust that is Qt3/NMA relations.
That’s right, we kicked Desslock off the site. He’s totally no longer allowed here. And we did it because of his lack of sociopathy. It’s good to see that your vision is as clear as ever. It was a tragic affair, really - we tried to get him to kill some small furry animals, just some kind of token gesture, but he was having none of it, so he had to go. Alas, it was a tragedy. Not as much of a tragedy as Bethesda daring to defile the legacy of the blessed Fallout, of course, but a sad day nonetheless. Hey, have you heard that it’s just Oblivion with guns? What a rip!
Every time I read this thread, I am a little sadder for having done so.

this this THIIIIIS fucking this man all my 5 golden manbabies for you good sir :D :D :D
Fortunately that’s just here.
And Penny Arcade. And Something Awful.
Though maybe some smaller forums out there might not loathe you guys so much that it derails threads and discussion devolves into amazement of how batshit insane you all are when there’s little new to talk about with the game.
And Wasteland is a rip off from the board game Gamma World!!!
Well not really.
4chan 4tw.
Though since they were mentioned in TIME magazine last week they probably are a sell-out now. :p
No no, I was stating the fact that this is the only place where one can’t discuss Fallout 3 because all you can discuss is your hatred for NMA. Like one guy said at RPGWatch:
I love the Qt3 forums. I can’t decide if my favorite part is their ever more desperate attempts to put down NMA in order to convince themselves that they are somehow less nerdy and obsessive about games or their slagging off the Wii because it is dumbing down console games. And they say Americans don’t get irony.
It’s true that you can see a lot of NMA bashing at SA, PA or Neo GAF, for example, but you can actually discuss the game in depth too there. the same in places where there are many opinions against this Fallout 3, like Blues, GameFAQs or NMA.
In here it’s just impossible. One guy states his impressions about the game and immediately must be a slandering conspiracy from NMA. Crazy.
Tell you what, if you want to prove me wrong take NowhereDan’s preview as a starting point and create a meaningful and intelligent discussion about the game. It’s by far the best preview, the most informative and well written, it shouldn’t be hard. I’ll see if you can do it.

Actually NMA and their ilk are no problem at all for Bethesda because really no one even knows who they are, and if they do know who they are they don’t give a shit about them.
