Don’t forget the death of gaming.
Yeah! Best of Dog Show, maybe!

I think we may have reached a new low point here.
Oh no sir, I heartily agree!
I think this thread is done for. With the release just a few weeks away, I doubt any new info is going to be released
Yeah. I guess everyone better stop posting in it.
No, seriously. It just keeps getting better and better, it’s more like a science experiment by now than a mere thread. We keep plumbing those depths, we’re gonna open a portal to the dimension of the Old Ones. There will be much suffering.
It’s kind of weird in a way. As someone pretty familiar with the Codex I find it fascinating, those guys just seem to operate on a different level of reality. As an example, when I started lurking here due to getting completely fed up of the negativity and Nazism of the Codex (Thanks for Approving me Tom, no worries about the 2 month wait :D) I got linked in IRC to a video of a presentation of the game by Todd Howard. What surprised me most wasn’t the game itself, though it did look good. It was how articulate and decent Todd sounded. In the Codex echo chamber, Todd’s a sniveling retard that stumbles along in the game dev business because of all the cock he sucks. For the last few years I’ve gotten my gaming discussions and news mainly from there, and it’s been amazing to me just how much more I’m liking games in general just by getting different perspectives. I’m actually anticipating Fallout 3 quite a bit, and giving Oblivion another shot.
So, it’s not really a surprise how it seems obvious to guys like draikin and zylon that mainstream games suck, and they’re surprised and annoyed that everyone else doesn’t agree. War is peace, hate is love, yadda yadda.

Why would other peoples’ perspectives affect how much you like certain games?
I donno if it’s fair to put the two of them in the same boat. Draikin is genuinely nuts, while Zylon is just very angry.
Actually, that’s a good point to discuss. Why so little marketing and info with only two months left to release the game?
E3 was a dissapointment for me, as i expected much more info of the game. I mean, the game is going to be released in October, i know they have to show only a little teaser and little info at the beginning of the marketing cycle of the game, but now it should be already time to show the full featured game to the public.
Where are the videos showing the game? The cities, the questing system, the different approaches to some situations, the influence of your stats and perks to the gameplay, the stealth system, the characters, etc etc. Nothing, only the description of a few journalists that played for 30 mins.
They only have shown a few minutes of combat, only in one enviroment, and totally rigged up with cheats and infinite VATS, so we can’t judge stuff like the diffuculty, pace, balance or AI.

Zomg cover your eyes because I am about to blow your mind with this one! Sometimes people get extra enjoyment talking about a game they are playing with someone else! And when that person isn’t saying zomg this game eats donkey cock it might just make things even betterer!!!
Horror of horrors he isn’t a stoic burn him burn him!
Oh. That makes sense. Although, it would have been clearer had he actually used the word enjoy.
Fallout 3 will be better the less you know about it. Luckily, reading this thread will not inform you in any way.

As opposed to a synonym? Along with a long boring story about how he was amazed by the negativity of certain forums and found that he was liking games more after he stopped visiting them and started visiting places like this?

Yes, and yes, that was already discussed in this thread before but it wouldn’t really make much difference to the haters much like people hated on the other two games you mentioned for having any relevance to the other games.
- Where do you think Angie is from?
- I like this guy.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but memory tells me that things are pretty much on par with Oblivion’s rollout. And that turned out pretty well.
And I feel like I got a healthy dose of media and information from its presence at E3. As a customer excited about this game, I don’t feel like they’re starving me for info at all.
