LOL. I wish I was that good. I tried earlier to find a picture of the image that comes into my mind whenever Bill posts and I couldn’t find it. :-(

Marvelous!

You can see the font from your couch! INFIDELS!

Ha! Not it, though. I’ll find it eventually. It’s a guy that I think used to work for EGM, but it might have been another magazine.

This is the Bill I imagine.

Thank you for going to the effort to demonstrate exactly how lame this complaint is. Good show, sir.

Yeah, but see, without the 2 glowing vacuum tubes to the left of the text, it isn’t Fallout. You can’t eliminate them just to make things more readable! Fallout is all about the vacuum tubes. Well, that and killing children. How dense are you people?

Why is there a timeline problem? It’s two separate sides of the country so the NCR has nothing to do with it. Other than that, well, they’ve been nuked. Is there some authoritative study on the patterns of progress in a hypothetical post-nuclear America that I haven’t read?

There is. It’s part of the secret NMA archives dictating what is and is not allowable in Fallout sequels. You see, rather than funding development of their own game, they channeled countless millions of dollars and untold man-hours into construction of a combination time-machine/alternate reality portal so that they could establish said parameters once and for all and use them to dictate to game developers. Sadly for them, the developers aren’t listening, hence NMA’s endless whiny angst.

That the only part of this post that is a lie is the time machine part is what is so very wrong with the internet.

I figured you’d understand that my post wasn’t really a joke, Bill. Nice catch.

Nearly 150 screenshots leaked of Fallout 3:

  1. Looks like you can choose between green or blue for the HUD text/graphics.

  2. Regular ghoul dialog

  3. Nerd Rage perk

  4. Character creation

  5. Dialog choices for a quest

  6. Perk choices at level up (Black Widow perk)

  7. Your character’s father

You can also set your UI to orange, as I recall. Oh, and your father doesn’t have one set look - he’ll change based on what you choose for your own character. He sounds like Liam Neeson no matter what, though.

Can he look like a different ethnicity? I would find a black or asian Liam Neeson amusing.

In the Grim Darkness of the Far Future, There is Only Whites

Now this is a step backwards.
I remember the Cafe Of Broken Dreams encounter where you find Dogemeat in Fallout 2, one of the characters was bitching about not being included in Fallout because he was black.

Eurogamer has an interview with Pete Hines up.
