So you’re saying they all look alike? Racist.

Well, the first guy is white, and Lucas Sims is a black man. Is this Stephen Colbert?

I’ll agree that they have a similar facial structure. But am I going to mistake one for the other, or find it jarring in the game? Nah.

It seems kind of pointless to compare this game against Fallout, mechanically. There’s a pretty broad gap between them both in terms of technology and gameplay.

I was comparing it more against Oblivion. In this case, Fallout 3 is a huge leap just for the characters not being ugly. That seems like compliment enough to temper the statement. No?

Maybe it’s less that the features are the same than they all have a rather blank expression.

Still, vast improvement over Oblivion.

Wait, Lucky Harith is white? Hrm… I honestly couldn’t tell. Poor image quality I guess. All I’m saying is it’d be nicer if Mr Burke had a bit more … uh… flair, but yeah, not really expecting it to hamper my enjoyment that much.

He looks to me like he’s supposed to portray a G-Man, so the blandness wold seem like a requisite.

That aside, I think they could use more character in the faces in general. I think the slack expressions don’t help.

Also, there’s another guy from a very early screenshot who actually seems similar to both. The one who offers to come with you. I’d posted him earlier.

Edit: The lineup. Maybe just placeholders?

Ouch!

I hope so, each of the three are pretty similar looking facially. Would it kill them to switch it up a bit? I mean there are many difference between black male facial structures. Take for instance the variations between the famous faces of Djimon Hounsou, Denzel Washington, Ice Cube, Colin Powell, or Barack Obama.

It doesn’t help that they all have the same beard.

Wait, isn’t that first guy supposed to be white? I think it’s the highlights on his face and neck that are making me think that.

The real question is can you make a character with a straight-up funky afro complete with hair-pick. SOLID.

Funny :)

He’s darker skinned than Colin Powell but lacks that distinctive hair of the Soul Man.

I’m confused.

Have you run this “darker than Colin Powell” process of racial identification by any Mediterranean people?

If I’m going to be im-po-tent, I might as well look im-po-tent!

I freely admit that I suck at humor.

better to try and fail than not try at all.
