I really liked those games when they came out. Particularly destroying your way through corporate offices and cubicle farms. Could those games have been the last good thing done by Origin?

That’s possible. They were SO FUN though, you had to be really observant to avoid getting nailed by the traps and security stuff. The second one was fun for being able to purchase new weapons, it was always a real treat to get a new gun in that title. Remember spider-mines!?

I tried to play this a few years back and the controls are just horrible. I must have just been used to them back in the day (when we used the keyboard for everything including Doom and Doom II!) but I couldn’t stand them now, I don’t think.

Now I really, really hope Bethesda lets me enter a vault that’s full of cubicles. A straight up corporate office of a vault. And the good guy quest is to go through a Dream Zone level bureaucracy, and the bad guy way is to blow it all the fuck up. Because I’d sacrifice all sorts of good karma for that one.

That’s hilarious. It’s almost like a closeted person coming out.

“WE’RE HERE! WE LIKE TO PLAY FALLOUT 3! GET USED TO IT!”

My office is right above Metro Center in DC, and they said Metro Center was in the game. I hope we get to stalk the halls of my law firm and shoot mutant lawyers billing their clients.

The controls for the Crusader games were horrible, but really worth it. I found the games to be more fun using a game pad, if you haven’t tried it yet maybe give it a shot, definitely saved it for me. I’m pretty sure you can get got both Crusaders to work well on DOSBox.

They do

Crusader No Remorse works perfectly in Dos Box.

Crusader No Regret requires two different speed in Dos Box in order to play the videos vs the actual gameplay - if you don’t care about the videos, which are lame but far better than No Remorse’s, since they piggybacked on Origin’s WC4, you don’t need to do anything. But if you set the speed properly to play the videos, the gameplay will be too fast, and visa-versa - but DosBox allows you to switch on the fly, so if you know the videos are coming you can speed up the game so they’ll play properly. Not as hard as that all sounds, but it’s not as clean as No Remorse

Thread needs more Fallout.

There you go.

That is horrifying.

That is awesome

It’s the minigun that really makes it work.

So beautiful. ಥ_ಥ

I wish I had the skills to hack that into NMA’s title page since they have that character in their masthead. Imagine if that fired up everytime you went to NMA. :-)

I think I watched that for an entire day. I’m not sure, everything just went… fuzzy around the edges.

Classic. Glad I actually checked into this thread again.

I’m going to have that song stuck in my head all day.

What, you didn’t develop an immunity after the original version?

Channel 3 features a VATS demo that very clearly shows gore damage to be location-specific.
