New polls: holy

And here’s a startling result from their generic congressional ballot question: Democrats are favored over Republicans by an amazing 54-35 margin, including 3:1 among moderates (60-20) and even 51-38 among male voters.

Wow.

It’s been almost a decade since a good old fashioned “throw the bums out” mania has swept the population.

Should be fun to watch.

Just one moment! The Axis of Angst will try all kinds of illegal election shit again. You say you want a Rev-O-lution?

Mickey Kaus noted today that the Republican complaint about this so-called 19 point lead said that it was “10 to 12 points too high”. Which means a 7 to 9 point lead. Which is still a lot.

Yes, I’m a conservative, and those numbers are probably correct, but…

Sure doesn’t sound like that MIGHT be a biased source of information. Nope, completely objective-sounding URL to me.

Edit: If they got that from another source instead of “another polling service (unnamed)” or “our statisticians” I’d like to see it. It doesn’t seem unrealistic (maybe a little high but certainly in the direction I’d expect now) but I’d like to know where that came from…

Right in the first sentence of the linked article it links to the report. It was an LA Times poll.

Well, the LA Times polls were very pro-Davis in the California recall vote, so you have to wonder about how good their pollsters are. The numbers in this poll are so much out of variance with every other poll in the country that I’m not exactly booking my tux for the inaugural ball.

Maybe, but Kaus’s objections to it are so asinine I think he’s completely lost his marbles. Polling firms having accented hispanics calling around? What is he, Michael Weiner?

North California is full of tree huggers. SoCal is full of hispanics and people who want cheap gas.
