New Whacky game from Digital-Eel

Right from the release-so I don’t have to type.
Join Le Chef in his kitchen and help him make everyone’s favorite treat,
candy Soup du Jour!
Soup du Jour is a matching game like no other, with rubbery physics,
stretchy sound effects and rule-breaking gameplay. Tug and toss colorful
candies. Bring them together and watch them burst! Making candy soup is
easy --until Le Chef swaps pans or the Kitchen Gremlin arrives!
Soup du Jour was created by Digital Eel, makers of Plasmaworm, Strange
Adventures in Infinite Space, Dr. Blob’s Organism and Weird Worlds:
to Infinite Space.

Good Painful Fun!

So simple in its concept, group like candy soup bits by dragging them around individually while ensuring nothing spills out of the pot (hard to do with the pot rocking, a never ending rain of pieces, and the occasional bomb or missile to really mess you up). The fun gimmick being the physics engine which allows the pieces to all flop around individually and act accordingly based on the energy exerted in moving them.

Not sure if it will have any lasting appeal but it is fun for now.

Demo is a nasty tease with just 1 very quick and easy first level to play.

In somewhat related news…

Just in time to stuff into your virtual holiday stockings, Digital Eel hereby declares that Big Box of Blox and Dr. Blob’s Organism are now FREE! Yep, that’s TWO games for the low, low price of $0! How can this be, you ask? Because it’s that time of year when everyone should be thinking about sharing, absolutely, and we want to show our gratitude to gamers (you know who you are) for supporting us --but also because free stuff is fun!
