Action RPG. Doesn’t even have a Wikipedia page yet, so my ability to research it is somewhat limited, as I’m unable to get to most sites that would have a profile on it. Since ARPGs are rapidly becoming, like, my joint, I’m tentatively amped about it, but I’ve heard a lot more positive buzz about Bastion, which is also an Action RPG.
From Dust also looks interesting. Black & White really, really burned me on god games and led me to feel like the entire genre lacked any sort of actual game and was just a bunch of noodling around with miniature heathens, but I think I’m ready to take a chance again. I do wish it had a different name - between From Dust, Dust 578934753 or whatever that thing that’s connected to EVE is called, and Dust: An Elysian Tale there’s too many games named after dust that have nothing to do with dust for me to keep them straight.
ITSP is the obligatory pitch at the Limbo/Braid market, so I’m pretty much doomed to buy it.
The big question is whether I want Toy Soldiers. It’s allegedly a good strategy type of thing, but I can’t read its name without thinking of Army Men, so I always just assumed it was crap. If it’s, you know, not crap, then I’m in, but if I’m in then I can get Crimson Alliance for $5 off (it’s normally 1200 space bucks) by getting a Kinect game I will never play on account of I don’t got one, which, I’m sure, is Microsoft’s plan for people like me.
I wonder if we’ll ever see Dungeon Defenders.
I might have to dust off the 360. Ms Splosion Man! ITSP! From Dust! Not sure about the rest. I love Boulder Dash but, uh, why do they have to update the graphics of these classics using Fischer Price as a model?
I missed Boulder Dash back in the day. I had an Amstrad 128, and I’d heard good things about Boulder Dash, but never saw the Amstrad version in stores.
Looks like Summer of Arcade has a lot of potential to be awesome. I’m really glad that Bastion is leading off. Usually with these XBLA promotions the game I really want is the last one to come out.

Had the chance to put in some significant time with Bastion - the key guys on the team are former co-workers - and I can safely say it’s an excellent game, especially if you have any fondness for Secret of Mana style action-RPGS.
Looks lovely, plays well, has a good sense of humor and an interesting approach to character levelling / perks.
I know, I’d just like it to release by now.

For the first time, I think I can safely say I will buy all of the games in Summer of Arcade. Even Fruit Ninja Kinect! That’s a great line-up.
