It’s always a wasteland except for their spring/summer events, which starts pretty soon. And they’ve got that whole Gameroom thing.

Wasteland? There were three released just this week (and there is always at least one game a week). If anything, there are too many releases since I barely have the time to check out the trials.

Some games have gotten their own threads too like P.B. Winterbottom. The real depressing thread is the Indie thread. I mean the indie side is so ignored that people post in this one to get an indie game like Shoot 1up noticed.

Warren, it’s just the way of Qt3. This place misses a ton of stuff that comes out on Xbox Live Marketplace, WiiWare and on the PlayStation Store.

There are threads dedicated to all three at GAF that do a much better job of keeping you up to date and you can gain a lot more insight into the games themselves from the people there when the games don’t have demos.

That said, I check http://press.nintendo.com every monday to see what’s new on WiiWare, DSiWare and Virtual Console.

I saw Shoot1UP on GAF before it appeared here because people over there were testing it before it came out.

Gamerbytes.com covers most of the stuff on XBLA (+ some indies), PSN, Wiiware, DSiware and PSN Minis.

If you’re just interested in XBLA stuff, check out xblarcade.com. For Indie Games, www.xnplay.co.uk has regular round ups.

I think it’s just that people want to find it here at Qt3.

I don’t mind updating a thread on Monday with new releases, especially since I often want to check them out anyway.

I don’t really agree with that. I think Qt3 hits most of the quality PSN/XBLA titles. I do think that Xbox Indie games and Wii Ware games get passed over here generally though.

I’m not opposed to finding out about good indie games because that channel is clogged with so much crap I can’t be bothered to manually sort through it anymore.

It’s a good point – there are some seriously good indie games in the flood of thoroughly average (or worse) indie games constantly being released. There were a couple of XBL indie game threads started; hell, I think I started one to try to point out which indie games I have played that I really enjoyed. I think I’ll update that to list which ones I have played that I consider worth the money.

Toy Soldiers is a lot of fun. It’s a 3D tower defense game where you can take control of your own units. It also has multiplayer, but I haven’t tried that yet.
