Fuck me two 4th downs to Gronk then miss the two point. Their kicker is gonna have along flight home with that early extra point coming back to haunt them.

On to the NFC Championship!!!

What a classic. Such an amazing game. And so appropriate that Talib tips that 2-point conversion attempt, while Brady gets pressured by Ware and Miller. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Brady pressured this much in a game. Not even in last year’s Super Bowl against Seattle.

A well deserved victory for Denver.

Denver, seriously attempting to lose that game with an anemic offense that was so conservative in the fourth quarter that even neocons thought it was boring. Sheesh.

Someone’s going to have to give Carson Palmer the Heimlich. Another simple, short missed pass that he just mis-threw.

Whenever I’ve seen Carolina play this season, both regular season, last week, and today so far, they seem unbeatable. Did anyone catch the one game they lost this season against Atlanta? How did they get taken down?

They played mainly mediocre after the first quarter a series of big plays from Atlanta, including a great Julio Jones catch, was the main culprit.

Panthers look great, but so did they last week and they very nearly coughed it up. Right now though yeah Arizona not looking great.

The worst part will be having my crazy right-wing Aunt gloat, because of course she loves Petyon and his health-care denying, pizza-shilling ways.

Back to back picks. Wow. That really hurts the Cardinals.

Any given Sunday and all that but… I don’t see Denver beating this team. At all. Ever. Caroline wins 99.9 times out of 100.

Maybe not 99.9, but I agree in principal. Denver has an incredible defense, that put on such an amazing display today, but with Carolina they have so many more options. Just looking at what Cam Newton can do, I think if there’s one team that can overcome the Denver defense, it’s this one.

Not that Arizona is technically out it yet, but I’m really looking forward to this Super Bowl. Talib and Ware and Miller vs Newton and his offensive line should be really interesting to see.

Arizona looks like hot garbage.

Nice 2-point conversion. That means Arizona needs 4 touchdowns to tie the game, unless they also go for a 2-point conversion during one of those. Heehee.

Make that 5 touchdowns.

The garbage is now on fire.

The bitter, spurned St. Louis (football) Cardinal fan in me enjoyed seeing Carolina go for two, up 25 points with 5 minutes left in the game. I also hope the hot water runs out in the showers in the Big Red’s locker room after the game, too.

Careful, Jerry Richardson. It looks like you have all the momentum, but you are a Jerry Jones proposal and secret vote away from a Broncos W

I was expecting Carolina to win after the poor showing from the Arizona offense last week, but not like this. When Seattle gave them trouble in the second half last week, I figured the Panthers were vulnerable, but they sure didn’t show it in this game. I have a hard time believing that Denver can beat Carolina. Right now, it looks like the Panthers are just in another league. But as they say…that’s why they play the games. Should be interesting!

Tweeted this earlier, but Carolina appears to be so good that they’re really the only team that threatens them. What I mean is that they’re so good that they seem to get almost bored in games after blowing teams out in the first half and just sort of lose focus.

They didn’t lose focus tonight, though. That was impressive.

AFC: I feel like the better team won, but it was really close and if the Pats had kicked a field goal instead of going for it on their second to last drive they almost certainly would have won. Manning looked pretty good early but not so much late. He overthrew a lot of open guys. The Denver D was great and Brady was hit about as much as he ever has been in a game.

NFC: Man what a shit game. Panthers crushed. Not all that surprising, but the margin was a surprise, to me at least.

Super Bowl: The game opens with Panthers as a 3.5 point favorite. I was talking to a buddy after the AFC game and I thought the opening line would be Panthers -3.5 to 6.5. I think Denver has the better D, but Carolina clearly has the better O, by a large margin. For Denver to win they are going to need points from their defense and also more production from their running game. Where Manning is as a QB right now, I don’t think he can beat a great team without a lot of help. That said, I am rooting for a Manning win.

edit: I think the AFC was the stronger conference this year. And Carolina had the weakest AFC division on their schedule this year, the South. The beat all of those AFC teams but it was a one score game vs the Texans and they needed OT to beat the Colts.

For all you h8ters, Brady was hit 20 times in the AFCCG. More than any other QB in any game, regular season and playoffs.
