So, so, so happy for him. Was an engineer tech for an interview the student station did with him at Mizzou, and he was such a nice, nice man.

21 points in five minutes. Another good comeback by KC to win the title! I think @Rock8man and I are the lone Chiefs fans here so the celebration will likely be pretty sedate.
Count me in. Born in Independence. Wooo!

50% increase, nice! I was born in KCMO and we almost moved back there last year.
Oh, I was all in for the Chiefs. How can you not be if you’re a Missouri kid and don’t have another reason to root for the Niners.
The Hunts seem like one of the very nicest ownership families in the NFL too. Right up there with the Rooneys, etc.
SF D ran out of gas in the 4th qtr.

Well, that was a pretty good superbowl. KC was as advertised. Gets behind by double digits, comes back to win. Neither QB was stellar but Mahomes was the better field general today. Glad for Reid. Great to see him finally get that superbowl ring.
I went to Texas Tech so am a big fan of Mahomes who has always come across as a super great guy. And I like Reid and think the Hunts are one of the best owners in pretty much any league. But my wife is from california though, and her father used to take her to Niners games back in the 80s and 90s. She’s not a huge football follower so we can safely call our house a Chiefs house I think.
BTW, the Chiefs defense REALLY came up big when they needed some stops. Seriously, they stepped up.
Also, have to question a bit the Niners playcalling for throwing a couple of times on 2nd and 5 if I’m remembering correctly when they needed to get a first down.

The Chiefs are lucky games are 60 minutes, because they were not the same team in the last 5 as they were in the first 55.
That was a ridiculous ending. I enjoyed it.

And not a single trash can was banged during their playoff run.
After Mahomes threw the second INT after looking a bit off for most of the game, I really thought they had finally dug a hole a little too deep this time. But I guess they just can’t fully going until it looks bad. :)
Good game, congrats to the Chiefs!

I don’t follow the NFL anymore but I spent 26 years in Lee’s Summit watching Martyball and the years after. I broke my NFL boycott for this game and enjoyed it.

Yep, those probably hurt alot with the no time taken off the clock. Happened on two consecutive drives when they were still 20-10
The other thing I noticed probably hurt a bunch was their kick returner failing multiple times trying to run the ball out and never making it past the 20.
Also probably not using the first half timeouts on the final drive before the half.
Kyle Shanahan has overseen the Falcons’ 28-3 collapse, and now the Niners’ 20-10 collapse in the fourth quarter.
20 years from now I’ll be happy to see him finally get a ring.
