Yep, if the Niners lose and GB wins, it’d be:
- GB
- NO
- Seattle
And the Niners drop to 5th.
And then the Niners play either Dallas or Philly (probably Philly) and the Vikings play Seattle.
Then you’re probably looking at Seattle at GB and SF at NO.
Then we would beat GB and SF beats NO and we play at home to beat SF for the 3rd time this year to play KS in the super bowl!
Don’t think this matters unless all 3 have played each other. Note how the Seahawks were briefly the one seed while having lost to the saints. That may still be the outcome, not sure.
Thanks @inactive_user, my friends on I here in Wisconsin followed this thread the whole game and it was at least as entertaining.
I really can’t wait for the first Sunday where both Rodgers and Brady aren’t in the NFL anymore. That will be a glorious day.
You got one of the two right, but you’re from Chicago, so that’s to be expected.

I’m a Packers fan, so understand I want this to not be true, but they seriously may end up being the least impressive 13-3 or 12-4 team I have ever seen.
I know that probably sounds stupid, and I want to be pleasantly surprised in the playoffs. But I do not recall seeing a single game this year where it really felt like the Packers controlled the game, particularly on offense. And when they faced a team like the 49ers, they just looked utterly dominated - it wasn’t even close.
They are who we thought they were.
I don’t think that is completely true. Their defense is definitely better than expected at the beginning of the season. And their running game has improved significantly. Where they are having trouble is in the passing game, as Rodgers is not at the top of his game right now, and their receiving corps is good but not great.
You, sir, are no Dennis Green.

No doubt this is true. It’s actually kind of funny, because for years it was the inverse - Rodgers and the passing game were all they had, and Dom Capers and their shitty defense (and relative lack of a running game) were what let them down.
However, I wouldn’t say their defense is even close to dominating. It is far better than usual for the past decade, but I again feel like they just got exposed against a team like San Francisco.
The Packers have had an incredibly easy schedule. Looking back, I’m not sure they’ve even had what you could call a signature win, except maybe against the Minnesota Kirk Cousins. The Chiefs game was in that stretch where they didn’t have Mahomes.

It is probably the best defense they have had in years.

Yeah, I already said that.
Since I am on late and I happened to be a Minnesota Vikings fan --and extraordinarily disappointed by our Monday night performance I will just say this: I hate the green bay packers with every fiber of my being.
It occurs to me that even with a good coach, a good team, a good defense, a mediocre QB, and a stunning RB (who was out) that we just can’t do it --again. Sigh.
As a Bears fan who also hates Green Bay with every fiber of my being, I think Monday night was my fault, because I was pulling hard for the Vikings.
Alas.
I missed this during the game, but apparently Cousins did through an over-55 yard pass for a touchdown in the game, but it was called back for offensive interference, which was not his fault, obviously. So he had the right stuff for a win, potentially, if the stars had aligned better.
He obviously knew the penalty would be called, so the pressure was off, that’s why he threw a good pass. Classic Cousins!!
