The penalty prevented a sack and we all know Cousins is better when the pressure’s off him!

Cousins fucking sucks against competent teams. It is known.

I don’t want to talk about it. It hurts me to my toes how he can be so mediocre.

Just to keep everything honest --and you are probably a nice person… But I hate the bears almost as much, and your good will? Probably jinxed us.

And now if some Detroit fan starts it up I may break my monitor.

I figure the chances my mediocre Vikings have to get past the wild card are …

GRRRRRRR!

Slim? None? Less than that?

You know what’s funny? While this may be true for you, it isn’t for us.

We don’t hate the Vikings, instead we do something even worse.

We ignore them.

As a lifelong Lions fan and a card carrying member of the “I Hate the Packers With the Wrath of 1000 Exploding Suns” club, I too was rooting for the Vikes. Mea culpa!

Eh - I hated the VIkings during the Randy Moss days, because I hated him as a player and person. Now, I want to beat them whenever we play them, but aside from that, no real animosity. Feel the same about the Lions.

This is bad and wrong and you should feel bad.

Randy is awesome. Redefined the WR position, and never did anything bad personally other than tangle Joe Buck’s panties all up in a knot and not give a shit about coaches who clearly had no clue (Childress…ugh).

Yeah I have to agree Moss got a bad rap often. He wasn’t perfect and could be really cocky but overall he seemed to be a decent person.

Vehicular assault on a Police Officer in 2002? I mean, yeah, he ain’t AP or anything…

I actually worked for many years in the building where that happened (it has an underground parking garage, Moss was leaving that).

The strange thing is, everyone knew that the particular police officer who was involved in that incident was an utter and absolute asshole. Like everyone knew it. You would work in the building, and everyone who was new to the parking garage would, within one month, be like, “Who is that police officer who just screams at everyone, thumps on their car like one second after screaming at them to ‘get moving,’ into a literal stream of busy traffic, etc.”

So while I’m usually full of disdain for entitled, rich athletes, and I don’t think Randy Moss is a saint, there are some extenuating circumstances for this one. That cop was just an absolute dick, and I could actually see it being somewhat their fault.

I don’t disagree. And I have met and encountered many an asshole cop

I’ve never hit any, however.

I’m gonna be honest with you - I really question how much he hit the cop. This cop has literally stepped in front of my car, where I’ve had to slam the brakes to not hit the cop. Like, the cop is that big a dick. I could easily see someone bumping the cop, and the cop then claiming it was intentional. It’s that bad.

Fair enough.

I’m in the same boat but don’t pull for anything in the division either. My father was a life long Vikings fan. I saw him weather years upon years of bad teams. But he could sit down and tell you the life story of Fran Tarkenton with a gleam in his eye that made ME want to be like Fran Tarkenton. Hell, it probably gave me strength as a Redskins fan to weather the crapfest that we’ve wallowed in for some time now (and in the past.)

But of all the things I’m sorry for, I’m sorry that the Vikes are now burdened with a very expensive Kirk Cousins. He was the could-a, would-a, should-a, of our team and while departing the story went something like, “if he just had a team around him, his numbers would show no bounds.” Okay, well, Kirk, you don’t get things handed to you on a plate like that. Good luck to you. And now the circle is complete, Vikings fans are singing the same tune. I wish the guy luck. He has moments of brilliance that make you stare in disbelief. But there is something still missing.

Not sure about that. None of the NFC teams are without weaknesses.

That, but he also clearly took off any play that wasn’t headed his way. The effort - at least early (I didn’t notice it as much with the Patriots) - just wasn’t there if the ball wasn’t going to him. I hate players like that.

On this day in 1947, the Chicago Cardinals beat the Philadelphia Eagles 28-21.

It’s the last NFL title the Cardinals franchise has won.

In the 72 years since, they’ve made the playoffs…8 times. Fans of the team in St. Louis had the team for 27 years and never got to see a single home playoff game.

This is getting a little more interesting:
