Now we just need a WFT loss tonight and there’s a 6-win team in the playoffs
To be fair, the refs’ tiny brains were no doubt overloaded by figuring out who the call was supposed to go against on any given play between Minnesota and Detroit.
Relying on Jacksonville… not currently working out for Miami. Come on, Florida bros.
On the plus side though, Derrick Henry and my second favourite Tannehill are currently locking in the #3 overall pick for the Dolphins.

Dallas head coach possibly cost his team a playoff spot by not challenging a late Giants catch. Completely inexcusable. And fricking Cowboys cost me my survivor league in the final week.
Haha! I know I’m time-shifted a couple of hours, but just saw Trubisky choke away his game with an INT.
Eagles decide to throw their game by putting in their 3rd string QB, so I guess we’re not going to get to see a 6-10 team go to the playoffs.
Redskins keep fumbling and recovering the ball in the final minutes of this game is just cruel to Giants fans.
I don’t even know why you do that. It’s not like you’re seriously thinking Sudfeld is the QB of the future. You gotta play Hurts.
Maybe you yank Hurts because he was blowing chunks and now Wertz looks like a reclamation project so you want to send him a message.
But yeah, Sudfeld is a placeholder. Maybe he’s in because you hate the WFT less than you hate Dallas?

Doug better avoid Jason Kelce for a while. I can’t wait for the post-game presser.

Man Philly, you really are pushing my promise to lay off you for a while. Why must you deny us the glory of a 6 win playoff team!
Philly gets the #6 pick instead of the #9 if they had won. That might have been incentive enough, though what I’m reading now indicates they planned playing Sudfeld regardless to get him some reps, because who knows why that was important?
There are a lot of good QBs in the draft so they may be able to get a good one at 6. Actually, they are in a good spot. Here are the top six picks:
- Jacksonville Jaguars: 1-15, .549
- New York Jets: 2-14, .594
- Miami Dolphins — from Houston Texans: 4-12, .541
- Atlanta Falcons: 4-12, .551
- Cincinnati Bengals: 4-11-1, .529
- Philadelphia Eagles: 4-11-1, .537
Jacksonville and the NYJ probably take a QB but the Dolphins and Bengals don’t, and the Falcons may stand pat with Ryan. The Eagles probably have the third or fourth choice at QB in a QB rich draft, unless other teams trade in front of them. And they can trade Wentz for picks have a lot of draft capital.
The NFC East wound up 11-28-1 against teams outside the division.
edit - and in case anyone is curious, the 2012 Indianapolis Colts went 11-5 to make the playoffs with a negative point differential (-30), just as the Cleveland Browns (-11) have. The Colts lost in the Wild Card game, so hopefully the Browns won’t repeat that.
If you draft another QB after drafting Tua, it may be to trade one. Though if you use a top 5 pick I can’t see trading it for anything but a lesser pick.
More likely is the Dolphins trade out of the spot to get extra picks.
Tua has not played well. This isn’t the old days, where quarterbacks take 2-3 years to start producing. There have been many recent examples of players that did pretty well their first year. On top of that, Miami has a strong supporting cast and aren’t likely to be drafting this high again for a while (this is Houston’s pick after all).
I’m not saying they absolutely will, but what I’m trying to express is this: if they aren’t sold 100% on Tua, and it they think one of the guys that will be available at 3, like Wilson or Fields, is better, they’d be fools not to take them.
Not really. He was down by 2 scores w/ 3 minutes left, and was having to force throws. Didn’t work. I’d blame the defense for not being able to stop the Packers. Like, at all. Outside of a fumble on a punt return, Packers scored a TD every time they had the ball in the first half.
Not sure what the coaches did (aside from Fangio leaving), but they really killed the defense after the 2018 season. It’s a shell of what it was.

This is the worst roughing call I have ever seen. I dont know how you could have a more text book wrap up tackle.
