The Vikings fanbase is split right down the middle on Kirk, it’s ridiculous.

Look, ignore all of these games and these decisions, and he is a great QB.

Hey, not for nothing but I’ve got a former #1 overall pick available for the low, low cost (not counting his contract) of a middling draft pick to a good home if Minnesota is interested ;)

Why do some teams suck year after year?

They do stupid shit like this

It looks like they still have 2 kickers on their roster. One is a rookie and the other has worse stats than Wright. Yeah kind of a head scratcher unless for some reason they think the rookie is the real deal. Andrew Mevis did have an excellent senior season. He was 20/23 and kicked 10 from 40 or longer. He was a 3rd team all american. I wonder if its a money move? The kid has talent and as a rookie is much cheaper than I am guessing Wright would be. At 26 I am guessing he was on an expiring contract in 2022?

Even so, seems unlikely to be a move they need to make right now. Why not get into preseason and see how the rookie does? Perhaps they are trying to do the guy a solid by releasing him early?

I mean, historically kickers don’t make a lot of money. Especially ones that aren’t household names. I doubt his contract was enough to make any difference in overall cap space.

Let’s check Sportrac.

Yeah… he was set to make 895,000 dollars this year.

So the Packers are playing a London game this year.

Does A-Aron need to get vaxxed to enter the UK?

I’m sure they’ll be fine with him just telling them he’s been “immunized”

I really think the Jaguars ownership cares more about pro wrestling than the NFL.

Wow, my Chiefs have a brutal schedule. First time in NFL history a team starts by playing 8 teams with a winning record from the previous season. By is only at week 8. Three away games in a row. Playing the Chargers after a 4 day rest. And of course playing everyone in the AFC West twice. Ugh

And now without Hill.

Mahomes gonna be hearing footsteps all season.

I’m actually still more concerned about our defense. In some ways moving to an offense with 4 or 5 very different types of receivers plus always reliable Kelce may be more effective than basically Hill + Kelce; we struggled with the defenses simply moving 3 deep and blanketing Hill. Now there will be several receivers (some well over 6 ft) running probably weird figure 8 loops across each other with Reid creating the playbook, plus one that can go deep, and Kelce.

What killed us last year is we simply could not get to the passer. The reason we lost to the Bengals in the playoffs wasn’t the weak second half on offense; it was only being able to get to Burrows one time (while teams before us and after us sacked him something like 6 and 7 times respectively.) The only thing we have really done to address that is add a solid Edge in the second round of the draft. We’ll score but we’ve got to get to the QBs in this AFC West (and other tough teams we’ll face.)

I will say that the kid they got from Western Michigan, Skyy Moore is a burner with great hands. Many felt that if this WR class wasnt so deep he would have been a 1st rounder and Mel Kiper labelled him as the most underrated player in the draft. WMU is my alma mater and I watched this kid play both live and on TV. He is the real deal. Of course its always a crap shoot on how these kids do in the pros but I think he is going to surprise KC fans.

I agree on Sky Moore. With Mahomes throwing to him, and with a diverse set of WRs (and Kelce) around him, I think he’s going to do very well. Not a lot of tape on him, but what little I have watched was impressive.

Man, Vikings schedule is rough. Not that it particularly matters to the 9th best team in the NFC, lol.

What, they traded Cousins?

sorry

10th best team in the NFC

I think that they are looking something like 8th in my book (I don’t think that the NFC is very good)

Los Angeles Rams
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Green Bay Packers

Dallas Cowboys
San Francisco 49ers

Arizona Cardinals
Philadelphia Eagles

Minnesota Vikings
New Orleans Saints
Washington Commanders

New York Giants
Detroit Lions
Chicago Bears

Carolina Panthers
Seattle Seahawks
Atlanta Falcons

The bottom half of that division is definitely a shitshow.
