Correct (which would seem to suggest an overwhelming lack of evidence, despite the number of lawsuits). However, the scenario I keep imagining is one where he gets a long suspension (like Triggercut mentioned) during which new evidence comes to light.
As much as I don’t like people being tried in the court of public opinion, the sheer number of claims is pretty hard to dismiss. Not only that, but he put himself in this position. He can get a massage any time he wants at the team facility, spending less time and money to do so. I find it hard to look at the pattern of behavior and accept this is just about liking massages.
Jack Del Rio

Commanders defensive coordinator and Jan 6th apologist.
“I can look at images on the TV [of the Floyd protests] — people’s livelihoods are being destroyed. Businesses are being burned down. No problem,” he said. “And then we have a dust-up at the Capitol, nothing burned down, and we’re going to make that a major deal. I just think it’s kind of two standards, and if we apply the same standard and we’re going to be reasonable with each other, let’s have a discussion.”
5 people dead is a dust up.
But what about the insured business owner who had their window broken?
If the last election cycle and COVID has taught me anything, it’s that there are a lot of GOP loving NFL members, both team side and player side. And you can’t help but put them on a mental checklist when they say stuff like that.

Damn, Del Rio is clueless. Now I am glad the Raiders fired him.

So the capital building has no insurance? Having insurance doesn’t make an experience like that forgettable for a business owner. But I get what you are saying.
Just another piece of shit to throw on the crap pile that is the Washington Commanders.
Two grand juries in adjacent Texas counties declined to indict. This usually occurs when the prosecutor recommends that they decline out of a belief that they don’t have sufficient evidence to go to trial and get a conviction.
In considering what punishment is proper for Watson, the NFL’s performance (if you want to call it that) in two prior cases should be noted:
- Ben Roethlisberger got four games for what amounted to admitted rape; and
- Robert Kraft was caught on video and got no punishment at all.
Mmm thanks for the clarification.
Hey, maybe the NFL will take this opportunity to set a new precedent of valuing human dignity above on-field performance and revenue generation!

The one thing that might get them to pass down harsher punishment is the Bauer suspension - but I’m sure part of this slow roll is to put as much distance between the two as possible.
As a Bengals fan, I’m just amused by the fact that the Browns will be paying their QB room a combined $40 million in 2022 and will be starting… Jacoby Brissett.

I love listening to Ryan Fitzpatrick more than anyone else in football and that beard is a thing of wonder and beauty:
That beard and hair really is something. He’s starting to look like a wookie.
Fitzpatrick coordinated with NFL medical experts and together they have determined that Fitz’s current beard and hair when combined with the latest in NFL helmet technology provide the absolute optimal protection from concussion. The United States Military is looking into this research and may soon eliminate the shaving of recruits heads at boot camp and instead require recruits to grow a full “FitzMane”.
I hope Fitzmagic signs on as a commentator somewhere. I bet he would have some interesting insights.
Fitzy is, after all, a Harvard man,
What an absolutely shocking and devastating day. A Ravens linebackers suddenly died, and then the Goose passed away.

Some confirmation that at least some of these dumb crypto contract announcements are just paid marketing and players aren’t actually risking their money.

There was an offensive lineman last year whose contract (probably the signing bonus) was also supposed to have been paid in Bitcoin.
